Side, yes those are the words of wisdom. But, go through the posts on this board, you will see so many phony pundits even discussing what price JNJ should pay per share if it acquires Geron as if they all sit on the board of JNJ!!! Have you heard that story of four blind persons describing an elephant? : One who grabs the tail describes it as snake-like; the other who grabs a foot, describes it like a fat tree trunk, and so forth!! These pundits on this board are all like those blind persons!

Do you get what I mean? If you do not, please do not expose your nativity and ignorance!

Cheng, where did you get the information to add up the sales to amount to 8M? Are you adding unexercised options? If the insiders sold off 8M out of 8.8M they held (based on your info!! Lie full?), the market would have dragged the SP below $1.00 and it still would not have recovered!! And, we would not have any upgrades, just downgrades! Is WS so foolish that it will respond positively to the sell off you are talking about, if it was true? Buddy, you have lost whatever respect I had in you and will view all your posts from now on with suspicion!!

  • mruyog mruyog Mar 30, 2016 7:13 PM Flag

I concur, unless Cheng jumped to conclusion without proper study.

  • Dates (May-June, 2015) when a lot of insider sell off took place. This was coincident with announcements of shareholder voting results and law firms beginning investigation on misleading statements by the management regarding the LFT issue that brought about the 8-month long complete hold. Also, note how this sell off was helped by positive and encouraging articles posted by Zacks!! Did the management paid off the Zacksguys to help prop the SP so that they can get the best price when they sell off? Question arises: Did the management too think that there was some merit in the law firms' charges, forcing them to sell their holding?!!! What did the shareholders votes(no-votes far exceeding yes-votes!) indicate to them?!! Were they convinced that voters grossly abhorred the compensation package? See for your self. I ask Scarlett lovers especially to review these dates and data carefully to see if the person they love deserves their respect? I must respond to an overly concerned post by Cheng that no such sell off has occurred after May-June 2015 and that the management still holds a total of roughly 800,000 shares!!

  • mruyog mruyog Mar 30, 2016 5:31 PM Flag

Cheng, are you deliberately making the exaggerated statement that all insiders have nearly sold off all their shareholdings for any illintended purpose or what? If you look at the current holdings of all board members I fail to see the truthfulness in your statement!! I am shocked because I did not expect you to be a manipulator who posts lies!!

turePreI think I have to agree with you on this wholeheartedly. This is not the time to look for an acquisition except concentrating fully on development of IMET if the management is serious in letting the cat out of the bag for some other reason(s) such as avoiding a premature takeover by another large pharma.

Any of you still here since Tom Okarma???

Okarma's vision wasn't without merit. Just look at how Dr. West and BioTime are capitalizing on those stem-cell assets through Asteria. Of course, the future will show that how stupid were the bozos at Geron to get rid of those assets dirt cheap - all at the cost of shareholders!!

Chang, true; but, please tell me if Scarlett, being neither an owner or a founding member, needs to squeeze for himself $6M annual compensation to do that and to supervise a staff of less than 10 and be stupid to make premature announcement for an acquisition when he didn't even know who or precisely what to acquire? Have you ever wondered that his compensation is several times that of all the staff members combined?!! Isn't that pure greed and, especially unethical when he puts the very scientists who developed IMET on the street and snatched the credi from their hands? Do you have a medical license? If not let me tell you that all physicians do have to take an oath for observance of ethics!! His actions so far is way out of the ethical norm!!! I believe he was hired to sell and develop in- hand assets and not to acquire companies to perpetuate his job!! And......has he ever run a company that owned a breakthrough product and take it through licensing?!! So...we, as shareholders, must wonder what makes him deserve the hefty compensation, isn't it?

Box, you have presented the real reasons for the dismal SP action since the foolish announcement. And, it doesn't surprise me that Scarlett lovers preferring to remain anonymous by giving you four thumb downs. I think these are people who need to sharoen their intellectual ability!

Day traders will keep manipulating the SP to make a dime a day per share until the acquisition air is cleared. I hope the bozos at Geron acquire a product or a small biotech that is a perfect fit and is welcome by the WS analysts. Until then, this stock will remain a play-tool for traders who reside in abundance on this board infecting it with all that junk to fool each other.

Only a Safety Issue can Stop IMET

    by lws2000 Mar 29, 2016 2:33 PM
mruyog mruyog Mar 29, 2016 3:21 PM Flag

IWS, the safety issue must be quite manageable since the MDS trial is almost in Ph 3 and MF in Ph 2 along with the ODD granted for both MF and MDS. I do not think, if that issue was serious, Janssen would have committed itself with a billion dollar contract and full development responsibility!!

Keep, Scarlett had absolutely no input in development of IMET. He actually put those guys on the street and unfairly took the credit to squeeze millions in compensation for IMET's success!! Besides, it wasn't Scarlett who took the decision to concentrate on Oncology and spinoff stem cell #$%$ets, it was the then board in which, then, he did not have any command!! He was hired by the board as an administrator to implement that idea which he screwed up, in my knowledge, by mishandling the trials then going on and bringing about the 8-month long complete hold which, thanks to Tefferi and Mayo's work and Janssen's interest in IMET, that soothed out the things!! Just study the facts and be able to read between the lines before kissing Scarlett's #$%$!!

Do you know for sure that it was Scarlett who brought Janssen and not Tefferi and success of IMET and its novel telomere concept that brought the attention of Janssen before another large pharma get it? Scarlett simply squeezed millions in compensation perhaps wearing that cap and taking the credit! But, if you recall (if you have been closely following Geron for a long time), Scarlett's actions brought the 8-month long complete hold, and if not for the Mayo's data and perhaps Janssen's underhand efforts, Scarlett could not have got it lifted by himself because, I believe, the FDA was pretty upset with Geron to have ignored the LFT issue in their ET/PV trials!! Please review the history and facts carefully before kissing Scarlett's #$%$!!

You have a reasonable expectation and it may be so w.r.t. the trials (which should actually come from Janssen, perhaps along with the continuation decision); however, I hope the bozos at Geron do not come out with their announcement for a lousy acquisition!! We just have to cross our fingers and pray that the acquisition deal is welcome by the Street!
