Finally a week to feel good about. I'm wishing I picked up more cheap shares of INO over the last months instead of ELTP, but oh well. I hate to rock the boat, because I like our course, but I worry we are ticking up without a lot of news. Just hoping this rise reflects improved sentiment or uncoiling shorts or something. Thanks VJ
Sorry if I missed this earlier in the day
Chung, you beautiful monster, where have you been?? I would have thought you have been all over this rally. I appreciate that you don't play I-told-you-so. A while ago you said you wanted us to know what you knew. Do we now know? Or is there more that you know that we don't know yet?
One thing the WHO/Ebola debacle really highlighted was just how rutted these governmental systems (both domestic and international) are in favor of entrenched science and corporate power. I don't think you have to be a conspiracy theorist to see this. Even the WHO has come out and smacked its proverbial forehead over these issues in the wake of its failure to quickly and meaningfully respond to this epidemic. NVAX desperately needs a voice at the tables of these institutions just as much as these institutions desperately need 21st century solutions to potential pandemics. Whatever is in the works, this seems like a good move to me.
Another 300 shares AH above closing price, and then someone topped it with 1,300. I'll admit that today's action was pretty convincing. I'd love to know what those in the know now know.
NVAX hires a VP of Governmental Affairs. Management is again on point.
Also good points, but I should say two things.
1) The SP has been moving up since around that date, and
2) I have seen the SP rally on previous patents announcements
However, your broader point is a good one. The IP is in place. ASTC needs to execute on the sales side to demonstrate the value of the IP.
Oh yeah? Someone knows something but only had a few hundred bucks to spend? That seems pretty likely. Guess I know where the red thumb came from. 120 shares is a pittance to even me, a very small player, and does not signal anything.
Of course, you are both correct, but given the kind of money I am guessing buckeye throws around, taking profits on the way up is sensible. My holding is pretty small, about 5% or so of my modest portfolio, so the risk is palatable at this price. I may change my tune when we get back to the post-ASO sale level if we haven't heard about significant sales at that point.
Is there also not a larger positive spin here, in that BARDA continues to show support for and interest in VLP technology?
Just a matter of patience, mi amigo de numero. I don't mind this pace. It's deceptively blistering, because we don't have a lot of huge days. This is the steady march of a confident army.
