  • A Windows Band, Internet of Things Device, XBOX, Phone, Tablet, Phones Abroad (Cache powered) & desktop PC's all need the same browser because the code is going to make one app run on all of them.

Microsoft has slowly adopted a lighter weight version to run on devices like RT tablets that did not allow plugins. The problems where always the same. When they did that all of the users that got used to being able to run Microsoft Internet Explorer in a power mode wanted Flash, Silverlight and everything under the sun to work.
The next thing is to use the cloud to handle the weight and keep the browser lite. Microsoft may have once had a version of Silverlight the flash competitor built into the browser and flash was going to be dropped. (That is now Windows Store APP CODE XAML). Almost identical to Silverlight.
You cannot really eliminate Flash at this point because the vast majority of the web relies on it.
Flash has caused more Security holes than almost anything. The Feds should ban it and that would solve all the problems.
Can Adobe be trusted to run that in a cloud manner? Google Chrome books Cannot run PhotoShop the same as Windows. They have to run it in the cloud. Some of the lightest browsers HAVE MAJOR DRAWBACKS.

People never realize that one thing may be better for you but the person on a metered Internet Connection using that Chromebook in a developing country is going to be in big trouble. So the lightweight OS's do not solve all the worlds problems and just create different kinds of problems. Anyone who has ever used Photo Shop an imagine the cost that will run up when someone is putting $10 at a time on a phone.
