I like to call them Aventis because one the reps who I know when I first started was with Aventis. And she still bring me lunch just like when she used to bring me Nasocort way back when.
Aventis is serious about getting Afrezza out there in the hands of diabetics. Our staff in the three offices are excited about managing their diabetics with frezza. I have my patients coming back a for 2 weeks follow-up to discuss post-prandial level trend. We'll see. I do PFT's and EKG in all the ones I start with Afrezza.
Ask your endo for samples. She should have plenty. And ask for it now before your next appointment so you can discuss it with her how Afrezza is affecting your life.
Also got copay cards for patients with commercial insurance: first fill $0 payment, refills only $30.. Friday lunch with the Aventis reps is going to be fun. Call 866-991-2840 to activate cards.
With Prior Authorization Under These Clinical Criteria:
So if the patient requests Afrezza and is unwilling to use injectable insulin, 18 y.o. and older, Type 1 or 2 DM and had a physical exam...Virginia Medicaid will cover it with prior authorization.
I tried to post the link but Yahoo Board won't let me. Just Google Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthkeepers and Pharmacy Prior Authorization. Then search Afrezza
I own two urgent care clinics and a private practice. I won't tell you how many patients we see combined in all those practices. We do hemoglobin A1c, PSA and lipid profile in all our patients having a well exam. Our patients are well educated about nutrition, exercise, diet and what their Aic. Been in practice for 20 years and the physicians, FNP's and PA;s working for me are very excited about Afrezza as another tool to manage diabetes. We have lunch with Sanofi reps this friday. It's exciting times in the world of medicine.
Wow you actually looked at my history. Can't win em all. I did recover really well with ITMN and CHTP though. And MNKD, I will personally write extra prescriptions of Afrezza just for you.
