Cat - your description of horrendous is a misnomer.
Won't be a loss, but likely won't be blowout earnings either.
Continuously you bash with no substance, no accountability and the inability to provide a forecast of the future with an estimate.
Forward estimates are too high by how much? You have the continuous lack of accountability. Downgrades coming by who? Continuous grasping and without any accountability. You've been caught.
Cat - lack of accountability - you cannot provide any forward figures - if you do so, you'll be accountable, and you refuse to provide any real insight because you cannot.
He is a shorter and just bashes the stock, but he's just an amateur - he does not have access to real research, nor can he do it. Let's see what he "forecasts" for the next 4 quarter earnings - quarter by quarter. He will then be known as unable to perform any real quantitative analysis. Nor does he want accountability - he just wants to bash pointing to the past where there were unusual weather situations. I guarantee you he will never put forth any numerical future numbers.
you are conflicted as is noted - by the way, the stock is up today on a big down day - another error on your part. What do YOU think the earnings will be for the next 4 quarters? I want to see some accountability.
Cat - Can you tell us the estimates and amounts by firm? I question Yahoo's ability to provide a consensus. Don't just rely on Yahoo. Note Cat loses were 20 cents per share in the past quarter - this is not a normal occurrence. Also with the various firm's estimates (thanks in advance for providing!!!), can you tell us the projected cat losses for future quarters?
you're analysis is looking back two quarters and forward two quarters. It is clear that the March quarter was clearly unusual and this past quarter as also affected. If you use a 15 multiple against forward year's earnings (4 quarters), why price do you see?
