No one knows the facts you point out better than Yelp...why do you think they're trying to sell? Yelp says they can't hire enough sales reps and that's the reason for their slow growth. Makes no sense - this isn't technical sales, the learning curve for this position = very little.
Let's review Yelp's business model at this point: 1 star.
Not enough media experience to realize the opportunity and importance of using social media to your advantage? No one is in charge at this company if that's the case because that is just plain stupidity. The smallest of companies can and do use social media to their advantage, and real big media companies use this to compliment their businesses. The fact that JCOM doesn't is telling (hint: and not in a good or positive way).
