Only amateurs use historical costs, even if Dar's historical cost basis is single digit. Each day you wake up to mark-to-the-market. Dar's costs is no different than anyone's else. So go home!
Aren't your margin rates based upon the size of your margin balance. Takes balls for an individual to have over 1/2 million on margin I guess those dinner trades and xmas funds are building up. Good for you. My length of fidelity relation goes back 30 years including the time I was on the other side of the street.
Its 1938 all over again. Gross says "Global economy dangerously close to deflation"; then Gross says Fed will raise rates in September. In 1937-8 the US. economy was starting to pull out of the Great Depression only to have policies put in place to push the economy right back down into the crapper. Gross is merely saying stupidity is inherent.
Using your numbers, on a quarterly basis the dilution is 1 1/2%. This is the cost of buying upscale properties to complete the mass needed for the spinoff. A cost that mgt must have figured in. Alternatively, as Dar would agree that is the cost of not kick starting the "Lieb".
Look at the indivIdual estimates --- ranges from 7 cents to 27cents. next quarter the range is much tighter. Why? Weather is very choppy in this quarter...only God knows.
I don't think the volume during the recent plunge has been all that great for large shareholders. I don't care I'm in the dividend only mode. Here is my dream a grand total of dividends for all of 2015 north of $2.00
