The headline might as well read Republicans intelligence plummets.
What a sad state of affairs for the gop. They are being dumbed down by their choices in media. Eventually, they will devolve into a new species of stupid people.
Hello board bagger. . .... I see you still have no life.
Hello speedy. ....I see you still maintain a sell rating on this stock and missed out on a +50% move.
Toast, we all know the times is just a liberal socialist Marxist hippie rag.
When fox news puts out an investigational report after spending months on the ground in Libya, I will pay attention. Until then Bengazi was caused by Hillary Clinton.
You realize that Gramm Leach and Bliley were all republicans right?
And the voting record for the bill in the senate was 55-45 (54 Republicans in favor with only 1 Dem voed in favor). But.....you knew that.
You also knew that Clinton later said it was a HUGE mistake to sign the bill.
Nano........I hope you arent defending Republican actions with the Gramm(R)-Leach(R)-Bliley(R) Act, and are denying how it contributed to the Great Recession (which would have been the 2nd great depression with Bush-the Fed-Obama and the Dem congrress acting so fast and hard.
The GOP used the deregulation as their "bargaining chip" and wouldnt let it go. What did they want? They wanted investment banks (Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers.......remember them??? and the likes of AIG (how much did we bail the out to the tune of???) back into realestate, which the Glass-Stegal put into place. Why did Glass-Steagl put this into place? Because investment banks contributed greatly to a realestate and asset bubble that contributed greatly to the Great Depression.
Unlike Toast, I agree that the CRA contributed. But.....without the GOP wanting to repeal Glass-Steagal, it never would have existed.
And, as the experts agree (the non-biased ones anyway), the repeal of Glass-Steagal played a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH larger role than the CRA.
This is why I like Jack, errrrr.......should I say THIS is the jack I like.
These rumors were likely started by Bears' fans, #$%$ off that he came back just in time to not only beat them (again), but to knowck them out of the playoffs (again) and show the world what kind fo a cry-baby little girly-man Cutler is.......again.
Well....cant argue with you there. It definitely takes two to tango. That bill NEVER should have been written, let alone passed. But....investment banks wanted it, investment banks (at the time) mostly supported the GOP, investment banks wrote them big checks, so the GOP gave them what they wanted.
I guess the dems should have just fought them and shut down the government to get what they wanted :~)
Someone is seeing value here as was I after the last cc. I bought a decent starter position after the cc. See my summary post of the cc for my rationale if interested.
Re firming prices.. . .. I put that in quotes bc that's what the article in the metal pages said.
What may be driving up the price is an article in digitimes saying pc sales are on the upswing, tablet and smart phone sales continue to break records. Ad to that the China govt purchase, and producers shutting and and the next cycle is likely underway ,
Here are a couple more headlines from the metalpages from yesterday and today:
06 Jan 2014 Chinese gallium market flat, prices stable
TODAY Chinese gallium market sees few transactions on spot market
Now....to me, that last headline is interesting. If you remember back to Morris' comments to 3 or so CCs back, he said you cant rely on metal pages for pricing....those are HISTORICAL prices.
"But one correction, Raymond. I think what you're quoting is the Metal-Pages." "And the pricing, I think again, you can always find the Metal-Pages, but that's not -- it's a good guideline, but it usually is a history, okay?
GALT and CNAT are both moving with ICPT, but LJPC is not........yet.
I find it amazing that GALT is getting this much attention in the NASH space. As bocamp1 stated, there is no difference in the clinical results between GALT and LJPC......none.
LJPC will start to run in sympathy......just wait.
Look at CNAT......+40%.
So far anyway.
LJPC data on NASH indication is just as good as GALT. It will move in sympathy.
So far anyway....starting its move now it looks like.
LJPC also has a NASH indication, and is chasing kidney disease. Data looks good, with results in April.
Baker Brothers just took a position.
Looks like its starting to make a move....big bids showing up.
Baker Brothers just took a position there. If you dont know them.....you dont know biotech.
