... because the are sofa king useless.
I don't believe a single word. Heard that song one tme too often. at $3. at $2. at $1 ... so why don't you just stick it?
Isn't it the case that a stock that is 30 consecutive days below $1 is getting delisted by NYSE?
What do you people think about that? Isn't this an actual risk now?
More or less true - I don't really understand how a drop of 54,87% (in the case of RIG) amounts to "far more suffering" than a drop of ~80% (if you bought at $5) with HERO.
Besides that - what is your point here? Just writing so the keyboard won't get dusty like seemingly everyone else on this board? ... with the fancy caption of "Some Perspective (sic)"?
Actually the only true thing in your post is that everyone in Oil is suffering and in pain. Thank you captain obvious!
Since I am already deep in the sh*t, I could as well learn something while waiting for better days (if they will ever come...)
I'm browsing the income statements, balance sheets, etc. of HERO (on Edgar/SEC) and on the last 10-K (on the "consolidated statement of operations", it is stated that they lost
2011: 58c per share
2012: 83c per share
2013: 43c per share
So basically they are losing money every year....
My question to the experts now is: ... do I read too little into these numbers (is there something more to it) or are they really as bad as I think they are? And why the fcuk did I pay $3.35 per share for a company that is losing $0.43 last year?
Tell me that there is some upside to any of this.
here is hoping that it will be back in the 3s in 2015
Well, for a leveraged fciking idoit like me, unfortunately the question is "how low"... before "when". I would not really care waiting it out until better times... but I'm asking myself if I can.
If this goes to under $ 0.90 I'm screwed.
Is HERO really in such a bad position right now? How much of this is short manipulation and how much of this is just prudent investors selling before it's too late?
I have no clue anymore. I am super scared that I will soon just sell because I can't take it anymore and this will be the same week when contracts get announced and everything turns around.
At this point I don't care anymore... the only question for me would be - if it is bought out - for how much. My break even would be $ 3.35
Here is hoping it goes above $2 and stays there... before shooting to $5-6 ;-) (I'm in again... could not resist, even lower than I got out... altough the transaction fees probably were higher than what I got out of this)
Thanks! Very interesting... back then I did not really pay attention to stocks. Should have just kept away :p
... I mean I know... economc crisis struck... but it was at alsmost $40 and is now at under $2. Ensco for example was at $70 and is now at $38. So why was HERO beaten down so much? Was it so overvalued back then?
"Worst" is one thing - but will it really be 80% worse than one year ago? because that is how much the stock is down. 80%!!!
How else? What is wrong with this stock??? How else can this be explained? all other drillers are more or less flat. Why is only HERO hit so extremely hard every single day?
I am glad that there are at least a few people on this forum who are not cruel and mean all the time, so again - thanks a lot for your kind words. I will probably follow your advice and re-open a smaller position (with what little cash is left) when it goes lower, or when I have the feeling that the trend is broken.
If this really rises above $4 - $5 as some people suggest (or even as high as $10) I could probably make back a good deal of what I lost.
Good luck to all!
