Cool, Jaq. IMO, intrinsic growth is less important to this company than accretive acquistitions and a sale to a major. That is my thesis for holding. Today´s blip is nothing given the rise over the last year. PT is headed up over $200. I think it´s pretty safe to hold. Missing the numbers was a good excuse to send the old CFO packing. We are going to see lots more deals given the background of the new CFO.
The new CFO was promoted from previous position as head of business development. He´s a veteran investment banker obviously hired to grow the company by acqusition and or sell it. I imagine he was, more-or-less, promised the CFO position when he joined the company a year ago. Did a good job and is now being rewarded with a better title, responsibility and $$$.
CFO quitting and the earnings/revenue miss are causing the selling. Positive forward guidance should help balance the bad news. Would not be suprised if we close flat. Future still looks bright. Let´s go, guys: More accretive acquisitions, please. And then a sale of the whole company at a big premium.
