get real, do you buy a car without driving it first? The Clinique did not jump at the chance to be one of the first users of the focal1, they ran it thru it's paces and found it to be a very useful tool in their arsenal of weapons against prostate cancer. They bought it and now they are using it whenever the need is there. I say good for them, at least they had the option of saying yes or no, not like here in the U.S.
The Clinique urologique Nantes-Atlantis : A new expert center focal therapies
On, 26, 27 and 28 February the Nantes Atlantis Urology Clinic will host the 1st Nantes area day on “high intensity focused ultrasound therapy” for the treatment of prostate cancer using the Focal One equipment(EDAP TMS).
Focal One is the latest innovative high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device with robotic assistance for use in the targeted treatment of prostate cancer. The Nantes Atlantis Urology Clinic is the second centre in France and the first private centre to use this treatment procedure.
Focal One, developed by the Lyon-based company EDAP TMS, is the first device to combine the advantages of MRI imaging in locating prostate tumours, 3D ultrasound and high intensity focused ultrasound for the treatment of some prostate cancers.
A therapeutic revolution for patients.
Interesting presentation by the Clinique, notice the dates (first paragraph) been in the works and it works fine.
Are you harping on the context of the post? Or the question I posed? Maybe it is the Bias thru treatment=inaccurate results?
that you do not grasp. I simply asked for a clarification of data posted by E75 (he/she is kind enough to post significant info regarding the clinical trial which I truly appreciate).
so the impact on interim date will be determined by the therapy received by patient before receiving E75? Bias thru treatment= inaccurate results? Neuvax may hit the mark but be blackeyed by under controlled chemo treatment.
that is not kosher for me.
You have to play the hand that's dealt, a year from now a new hand and a higher jackpot. I'm holding not folding.
You make a lot of sense. No excision, no bleeding, minimal anesthesia, no knock out for the surgery, minimal recovery time, positive results as provided by mri, reduced cost, etc. Naw... too easy, nobody will go for that.
Just read that airline stocks are ready to take off.......uh.......ok then, I won't be on one for awhile.
cheaper gasoline = $$$ in the consumers hands=wider diversity of buying power(provided the $$ is spent)= better economy overall. Now watch the gas tax go up for infrastructure and government hand outs.
just in case Neuvax works out. Imagine the share price......speculation for sure but the people in charge must believe it, why else apply for all these country patents.
this a radiation unit, my urologist office offers this service. My neighbor was treated with it, went thru quite a few uncomfortable days, BIG TIME urinary problems, don't know about the sexual side effects. I would pass on this treatment unless it was the only option.
