today must be the retail daytrading dummies who sold SRNE down to $8-10...right before it went to $12-14.
this stock is a better buy today in the $13s than it was as $9 - just do your own work, esp on the $1.3B deal and also the 20% holder Patrick Soon-Shiong - this is a $30+ stock in disguise.
Would i rather believe the board members of BTX including the CEO who took Shire from $2B market cap to $20B+, as well as former COO and also CFO of QCOR who took stock from $60M mkt cap to $6B+, or some basher on Yahoo?
Think about it...who has a stronger reputation and stronger reputation, especially when you think about the big holders of BTX, including chairman Al Kingsley, previously the #2 guy for Carl Icahn for 25+ yrs?
anyone who bashes Dr. West is entitled to his/her own opinion. Despite his weakness(as all mgmt have them), it's tough to knock a guy for taking BTX stock from 40 cents to $5 over the past few years, including the successful acquisition of Asterias(AST) which has gone from $4 to $11+. Bottom line, do your own work, but don't listen to these clowns who bash mgmt as this stock continues to be accumulated by smart money (while being traded poorly) by retail daytraders. So step back, look at the big picture, and enjoy the ride to $50+ from here :)
gump bot apple stock and made a killing...he didn't run, lol.
lots of funds adding to BTX.
hearing more funds went to visit BTX today in their HQ.
clearly the stock is under accumulation - wink, wink :)
there are LOTS of dummies who are involved in the stock mkt, and that's why it's a GREAT place to find inefficiencies. i've owned SRNE since $4 and early this yr the stock went up to $12, but then dropped to $8 during JPM conf...yep, "appeared sick - all sellers"...and i bot LOTS and made it a core position(after visiting company and meeting mgmt multiple time). now, knowing that $13B man by the name of patrick soon-shiong is 20%, i just sit back and watch the volatility knowing that my target of $30+ will be on track as long as i'm patient.
btw, if anyone doubts my credibility, just know that i rode QCOR from sub $5 to $140+ even as LOTS of people thot the stock was "sick."
hearing LOTS of great stuff going on w/ conkwest, w/ major catalysts.
further, SRNE's 10% ownership ALONE will be worth more than SRNE's current mkt cap once public, and that should be very very soon.
there are no real shares being sold here - just mkt makers dickering around, but expecting $20+ stock in the near future, imho.
now that Ikaria deal is completed, we KNOW the estimates will continue to bump up on this, both by analysts as well as by the company on upcoming conference calls.
in addition, i would anticipate MNK to announce FURTHER acquisitions in the next near future.
lastly, if the stock price stays in this range, you KNOW MNK will use their buybacks because they can borrow $ cheap and continue to buyback their own stocks.
Imho, ALS data is probably good, and MNK trying to figure out what to do.
Why do I know?
If ALS data bad, MNK would HAVE TO DISCLOSE via SEC.
So the question is why didn't MNK disclose good news?
Because if MNK said ALS data strong and will do Ph3 study, HOW MANY patients do you think they can enroll who's willing to take the PLACEBO? Answer: ZERO.
Therefore, it's important for MNK to keep quiet for the time being, or at least until there's more clarity on their next step.
Bottom line, MNK will continue to acquire, there's no real sellers of this stock even during biotech correction, and stock's going to $200+ for patient holders :)
mostly mkt makers dickering around, and some even trying to keep it down so big funds can buy cheaper - that's how they roll :)
don't worry - data coming soon, and then all the guys waiting on the sidelines will jump in...again, that's how they roll!
no news is GOOD news.
note: if the results were BAD, they'd have to report.
if the results are GOOD, they'd have to keep quiet and work on Ph3.
think about it, if there's a Ph3 for ALS and it's working, how will they get enrollment?
if patient had ALS, EVERYONE would want Acthar - and NOBODY would want the placebo, right?
my sense mgmt trying to figure the next step after this Ph2.
bottom line, just be patient...no news is good news, imho :)
