what you say is correct to the extent that 1 sell will equal 1 buy but, not necessarily to another "retail"
person or company. the MM must buy any shares sold and not purchased retail. this is why you see the
daily shenanigans with price differentials...the MM and others are arbitraging.
THIS IS A SOLID COMPANY... AT THE VERY LEAST A COMPANY WITH SOLID ASSETS.
I personally buy/sell only for gas and fun money and like to have 325K - 350K shares on hand for when
DEJ hopefully soars...I hope.
dude, you do make a lot of sense and I agree w/ your sentiments.
I only watch it ...well, because I watch it (LOL). actually I follow the MM's patterns and now w/340K
and brought my avg cost from c.21 cents to .1822 (w/this stock it took some time)
and have a current order for 5K@.1375 (once I hit 350K i'll stop...for better or worse).
I still believe this will be a whopper for all the previous stated reasons.
this is only conceptually true and does not mean the shares will be put back into the market at a
it's why I gave a "thumbs-up" to thinking10198's post below...I think the same as he.
it is another form of manipulation WHICH SHOULD BE CRIMINAL...
QUERY...DOES A MM HAVE ANY KIND OF FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY?
thanks for your civil reply...the fact that you are civil means per se, you are not "one of the usual
suspects". everyone is entitled to his/her opinion; it is those who post nonsense with a MOTIVE that
I can't stomach (regardless of what that MOTIVE may be).
as to your point that a large number of shares in a penny stock d/n amount to a lot of money, while true, i'm more concerned that the antics are for creating arbitrage as opposed to "investing" in a
company for traditional reasons.
e.g. even I could accumulate 1 million shares (not that much money) but, if the only reason for doing so is to prevent someone from making an investment to help their portfolio AND a company grow it is a form of manipulation, "legal" though it may be.
if one wants to truly make money with arbitrage trades, have some balls and do it with mid and
large caps. that's how you make real money, opposed to creating havoc for the little guy's
honest attempts to better his/her and their family's lot.
a criminal with self respect plots to rob a bank or aspires to be a Bernie Madoff, NOT rob a
grocery store of a newsstand.
at the way this stock trades (I use "iHub" to follow).
every day hundreds of thousands of sells (e.g. today, c100K buys and c300K sells; of course the patterns change direction). my question is who has all of these shares to sell, as the only way to make money
on an arbitrage is with hundreds of thousands of shares.
as to the buys one could assume longs accumulating but, are there that many longs with multi hundred Ks shares?...hard to believe that, so...
would be nice to have some opinions WITHOUT THE USUAL B.S. FROM THE USUAL SUSPECTS.
thanks for your advice...I was a lawyer for 34 years and of course
no pain and suffering (which applies only to personal injuries); the lawsuit
will be based on contract and all shareholders
at the time the suit was filed will be included. for those like me who sold some
subsequently an added allegation that their actions induced my selling; whether
or not I made money on the investment is immaterial, 'tho it may affect the amount
of "damages". at my age i'm finished fighting windmills.
I wish everyone luck but, believe the sale will go thru as there aren't enough
(retailer's) votes to stop it. I also have misgivings on the success of any lawsuit.
what is "that other one"?
hope not another of mine but, probably is (LOL)
I also have some MUX and like it and McEwen for same reasons.
so, now up to 340K shares @.1822 and will stop at 350K (was down
to 320K not long ago but, with the recent "purge" I just had to...)
either I hit a long ball or, get caught stealing third; but as my beloved
ancient (born 1894) Sicilian grandmother used to say "I dunna think so".
NO OPINIONS NEEDED
if "ibuy..." doesn't answer you, I will. at the current prices
this is indeed money in the bank and an easier way to get PPP for
many w/o deep pockets. once the buyout comes you will get .175
shares of PPP, a world class stock, and some incidental shares
(go check the buyout announcement).
once this house of cards equity market tumbles and money flows
into the PMs your PPP will be "golden".
I have 44K shares @.95 and try to add 1K a week when it dips under $1.
JMO...do your own DD.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
where common sense ruled as against the "system" people could buy and sell only what they owned.
speculation would be the very act of ownership and you'ld win or lose based on what you owned.
I know...all those economic and financial theories...yadda, yadda;
it's why speculators/hedgies/ "traders" set the terms and the pricing and, the small retail owners most often take a bath and, lots of people stay out of the "market".
a company is "worth" "x" one day and "y" the next when there has been no material change.
but, in and age of c 0% interest rates "what's a girl to do?"
so, we just have to be slogging along...
what was left (5000 shares) last week. I had been a holder since late 2011 and
gotten up to 20K shares and taking a real beating and averaged down until
"the revolt" (thanks Nawar).
so first sale 6/27/13 - last 2/19/14 between 4.03 and 5.37 and on made c 23K.
a real shame that owning this stock caused many sleepless nights.
I really hope there is a lawsuit as I will be included in any action. what this company's
management did may or not have been criminal. in my mind there is little doubt
that they failed in their fiduciary duties.
I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHO/WHY ANYONE IS TRADING THIS STOCK.
HMM!... (but, clearly will be an allegation in the Complaint).
hey, idid, agree w/ your sentiments and agree w/ slavarus' opinions.
we longs are all in the same boat; my investment in this based on the trading patterns
which evince to me a lot of gaming going on. so, the questions are what are the
motivations...why so many 100 lot trades on a .15-.25 cents stock.
in life we see and hear what it is we want to, from the same set of "facts".
I see the end parameters as a "bango" or a "fraudulent scheme". ONLY
if a total scam can we really lose. if it's middle of the curve we win. if its
a "bango" we win BIG. i'm chancing the property is a "bango"...someone
else is going to do the development, that's all this company is...a land
conduit to gas and oil.
p.s. slavarus, back up to 325K, got my last 5K on Friday @.1562...here's hoping
we have that PARTY!
BRD has a c225M float so,
is your sale offer amount the same as, lower, little higher or, much higher than existing price...
what's the direction of the stock at the time?
and why 50K shares (I assume you mean to say a large number of shares).
ALL IN ALL A PRETTY STUPID STATEMENT
that in my 1/14 response to a "slavarus" post I said I would not post on this board but,
I will only to clarify a point being made on this board...
while it is true that a LOI is not a contract per se there MAY VERY WELL BE portions
of the LOI which may be contractual and binding under contract law.
as we do not know eg. what "certain liability agreements", "interest clawbacks" or,
"requisite approvals" are in the LOI, all this nonsense about the deadline extension
and reasons for it are SPECULATIVE at best.
buy or sell DEJ based on your best DD or your gut but, NOT FOR THE MENTAL MASTURBATIONS
posted in this board.
p.s. slavarus I did get to 325K and sold 10K for some pocket money, and will buy it back soon.
on jan 4, I posted asking why there would be 197,000 trades w/I a I cent price range under the circumstances of the "proposed" Petrofloe buyout at $5.43...no-one bothered to respond.
as of the end of trading today (1/31) there have been 4,733,216 ADDITIONAL trades all w/I a range of pennies each day.
AGAIN I ask, what could be going on.
could it be that "parties" (who happen to hold "loads" of shares) are selling to lower the PPS and have
their "friends" buying them back...(if one holds many thousands or millions of shares a swing (now 20 cents)
can add up to a lot of money.
nobody in any other circumstance would buy shares with such a limited upside.
if you are a small retailer HOLD your shares...if you are one of the others be very careful, there are
several lawsuits floating around.
how does this gibe with PPP proposed (almost certain) takeover?
I have been long both BRD and PPP for well over 1 year.
