wow. how long have you used that wishing well. told you and told you that Kohler, Yamaha, Honda, Wicks are eating into market share and now we are coming past any catalyst like a tornado outbreak or hurricane. no dividend = no yield. no stock buyback program. had a secondary offering which diluted stocks ownership.
this is not a shareholder friendly company and that is why Mr Market has been jilting GNRC. i too realized 2 special dividends and a nice capital gain and liquidated this postion at 55.55 PPS. not only has GNRC dropped an ungodly 27% since then, not paying out any dividend, the overall market has gone up.
why on earth do you guys still hold? seriously, hasn't enough been enough???
Sentiment: Strong Sell
we had our "discussion" regarding insider selling last spring when Magdol sold off 100,000 shares at between 34 and 34.24 PPS. since that time, he has picked up several hundred more most recently on 5/15 for 228 direct/automatic for 30.2. there has been no insider buying, nor selling since 5/30 (which was Jackson at $30.66 PPS direct buy). ominous? your take?
incidentally, Vinny Foster holds just shy of 1.5m shares. source = Vickers
a rough day today...
were I not so top heavy in MAIN as is, I would be buying
hgl, your horizon is extremely small. PLOW closed at 21.09 on Sept 11 prior to Baird downgrade. my cost basis is approx. 17.25 as i have bought and sold several times. am now holding.
too funny. you know because you were "in a relationship with a businessman who traveled there"? just hilarious. you believe everything he told you??? ugh. what a clown you are.
i wouldn't even talk to someone who had a relationship with you.
well beef, i reconsidered and bought back in after SIX took a sustained beating in a down market. got back in at $33.88 and saw a 2.22% uptick to PPS. i expect more of the same and anticipate a better earnings report generated from overall great US weather and significant drop in gasoline oil pump prices. will allow for more discretionary spending from increase in disposable income. couple that with great weather and we should see an increase in sales revenue dropping to bottom line.
we shall see....
i see my buy order was place when FLY hit 13.00 PPS. not too bad a day for FLY but horrible for markets. ran comparisons with others in the plane leasing industry and it appears the recent pain is spread across all the players. IMO, i believe the whole industry is oversold and simply went with best yield. am thinking the whole industry is undervalued and once corrected all should then float higher in the rising tide.
zix, i think your 30 is rather radical. still, i have been waiting for all the bad news to have a full affect on BP PPS and the bad news keeps coming. short of another major spill i am believing that this may be close to the bottom. perhaps 42. yield now at 5.3% which is very good.
personally, i am putting BP on my Buy list but not taking the plunge quite yet.
were i still holding, i would continue to.
stenc, you are correct. cheap stocks can always get cheaper and... a consistent downward is very difficult to reverse and the more prolonged is the trend, the longer it takes. SDRL is a loser and losing more. i got out at 35.35 and despite the yield, not even considering coming back in. the dividend is definately in jeopardy. NO ONE can afford to distribute dividends at +14%. there is a reason the yield is so high and that is because PPS is plunging. were i holding ANYTHING here, i would be dumping despite whatever capital loss i would incur.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
just the opposite today. DJI up .60% and GNRC down nearly a full percentage point. not good.
i wish you well steven but GNRC BOD has shown themselves to not be too shareholder friendly. wouldn't you think they might initiate a stock buyback program with PPS taking a 25% beating? if they are profitable and earnings are strong - wouldn't you think they would implement a dividend? until that type catalyst, expect GNRC to flounder.
list of standby generator competitiors is growing and Kohler really making inroads. Yamaha and Honda are becoming players as well.
i don't think a hurricane would help....
i gotta continue to rate this as a Sell.
geez, still plunging. my latest buy now down 3.6%. this one is getting most worrisome.
next earnings report not due until Nov 4th. may incur additional damage before then. looks like Mr. Market is spooked by the Baird report and will need an upgrade from another analyst to steady the weak hands.
would be a great time for the company to initiate a stock buyback program. they are flushed with cash... Either that or increase the dividend. at the end of the day, that is Janik's primary responsibility - to grow shareholder wealth.
would expect to see some insider buying too.
airlease. i can relate. totally.
into retirement since March but work a day a week for a nice little fee. also prepping my home for sale next spring and just finished doing a cabin teardown and prepping that lake property for a new modular home install.
yeah, the dips in the portfolio do seem to register a bit more now that i don't have the security of a full time job. i am loving it tho but like you, have never been so busy.
keep us posted and we certainly wish you good fortune.
she trolls the yahoo finance boards looking to hook up. she used to chase a Chinese nut they called Tommy Chop Chop there until he gave her the boot. it was sad and funny at the same time. she is known as ikkitrader and Vikkihater on the BP board.
oh, you are so hard up. you will take anything as you have repeatably posted in your lonely hearts club search. pitiful.
yeah, the sliding is tough. doing a bit of that myself on two of my larger holdings and am underperforming the market. that is painful. have lost $30k over the last 2 weeks and would have been worse had I held FLY and AYR. I cut and ran despite good yields.
were I still holding FLY and AYR, I would continue to as you are. actually, I am thinking it is almost time to step back in as financial metrics show the plane leasing industry as oversold and at good re-entry points.
it is painful but IMO, you are doing the right thing at this time. anyone can Monday morning quarterback. I was just fortunate to bail when I did but it means nothing if I don't come back in.
AYR down 1.78% today and down 6.98% since i closed position at 18.35 PPS. a yield of 4.60% doesn't exactly cover a loss to capital of 6.98, does it? work the math big mouth.
amazing. Baird downgrades PLOW to neutral because snow can't be depended upon and panic hits. not individual investors but rather the funds. they got spooked based on a bogus analyst call. always amazes how often analysts are wrong and only correct when it becomes a self fullfilling prophesy. the downgrade and then stocks go down. they upgrade and stock goes up.
this is a rich one from Zacks. they report on the drop and give their rating for PLOW. they think PLOW is an automotive related company. simply unbelievable. copied and pasted for your reading pleasure...
This Automobile company has seen a flat track record when it comes to current year estimate revisions, as there has been no revision on either side over the past few weeks. The consensus for earnings estimate hasn’t been in a trend either. This recent price action is discouraging, so make sure to keep a close watch on this firm in the near future, and especially on earnings estimates following the recent slump.
PLOW currently has a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold) while its Earnings ESP is 0.00%.
Well, i will also hold and may increase position depending on freeing up some cash.
