ugh, ikki again.
look, best case to litigation is that BP is found negligent. stock soars. worst case is grossly negligent. stock initially dips, recovers quickly, and PPS takes off as vast majority of uncertainty is gone. this posting is for the "new investor" and not for you ikki. first of all you are beyond considering an opposing viewpoints. secondly, we are fully aware that you do not invest at all and are simply a wretched blowhard seeking to discredit BP for some personal agenda you have. I bet my money on the outcome and have revealed my position. you have nothing on the outcome and so have revealed nothing despite others asking. go find another more meaningful agenda and make yourself scarce. gawd, what a creep....
van, you got that right! the 13.68% exceeds my normal limit of 10% max. as I usually carry about 15 holdings. FLY is over weighted in my stock portfolio. however, my biggest holding remains cash at 25.14% as I lay in wait. behind FLY I have AAPL at 11.99, Main Capital at 10,95, TEG (just added) at 8.49, BP at 6.39, and CMI at 6.03. then the host of others.
yeah, am heavy in FLY. FLY has an outstanding yield of 6.00% and appears protected. P/E = 6.36 telling me company is undervalued and over sold. The sector is very good with competitors doing well and better. Just past a secondary offer and offered me value to pick up more during the strong dip.
am watching FLY closely but I am confident. mayhaps a Q or 2. dividend keeps me patient. won't go so far as to call FLY a speculative holding but it is rather volatile. well, risk is proportionate to reward.
don't see too much shorting here either.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
bill, once again, thank you for posting the buyback info. I share your opinion. BP thinks its share price is a bargain and so is accelerating the buyback. also, less shares outstanding increase our holding percentages. also, less shares outstanding, less dividends to distribute. that helps earnings and we both know what good earnings reports do to PPS.
I would increase my holdings in BP if I wasn't concerned about the oil glut. more supply than demand and hence the drop to $/bbl. still in all, my opinion is that BP is best in class. XOM always strong. COP very aggressive and progressive. BP tho has lowest P/E and a great yield. BP is over sold. also, am eagerly awaiting results of litigation. either way that turns out, BP PPS will benefit.
keep us informed buddy. you do a good job.
applehead, SKUL down 3.76% over last 30 days. KOSS is ailing but at least the yield is attractive. not so with SKUL at zero dividend. the kiddies buying SKUL will soon be on to the next fad and the next. while that occurs, KOSS should maintain its market niche. bumps in the road but, just enough upside to keep me in after i trimmed. have to admit, i have been responsible for a lot of the selling over the last month. what with such a small float, that selling hurt PPS. i have finished my trim and now hold for new developments. will see what Q4 brings and what it means to KOSS now that Europe is radically recovering. i personally don't blame Europe as Mikey Koss did a quarter ago. we shall see...
no you don't, knucklhead. as long as you post your nonsense, i will call you on it. hopefully, you get educated somehow, clean up your silly act, and grow up. at that point, maybe a posting of yours might have some merit. hopefully, you will simply find another game in town.
mastermind et al, do you think there are any potential consolidations, mergers, buyouts, purchases in this industry? has there been any within the past 5 years?
thelee, Yahoo message board posts CAN make a difference which is why a new law was recently passed to control internet false posts and manipulation. one NASDAQ listed company that I invest in has an extremely small float. a sale or buy of 100 shares effects stock price. when I buy and sell I have to stagger my transactions in order not to bring down PPS when I sell and opposite when I buy. a bad news fake message only needs to scare one person out which will drop that PPS. obviously, that is not the case with BP.
just checked back in. looks like PROV continued to drop. i got out at 16.56 PPS. glad i did. yield too low to keep me patient. any news here? what hurt PROV? bad earnings?
sbirc. interesting strategy. looks it has worked well for you. nice job.
i held AYR myself for a bit, realized a decent profit and sold at 17.34. see AYR closed today at 18.90 PPS. would have made another 9% had i held. went after FLY 3 times after the SO. liked the yield and bought on the dip. we shall see...
