Although the draw was good for this time of year the 800lbs gorilla in the room is on the demand side for NG, Industrial use and power burn are both twice the usage as home and commercial heating combined. Increased electrical consumption and upcoming LNG exports may save us……….

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2015) - Artemis Networks LLC today announced that DISH, through its wholly-owned subsidiary American H Block Wireless L.L.C., would lease certain H Block mobile spectrum in San Francisco to Artemis for up to two years for the world's first deployment of pCell™ wireless technology, subject to FCC approval.
pCell is a new approach to wireless that indoor testing has demonstrated delivering full-speed mobile data to every mobile device concurrently, regardless of how many users are sharing the same spectrum, thus achieving greater capacity than conventional LTE. Building on this testing, the first pCell service will be deployed in San Francisco subject to FCC approval.

Looks like cash flow from spectrum is starting......

“This stock is in trouble “ now that’s laughable , Dish generates one billion a year in free cash flow and that’s after debt payments. The spectrum hasn't even come into play yet.

Zack’s Bear of the Day: Manitowoc

I work for a Commercial Food Service Equipment/Small Wares / Replacement Parts Distributor, I am mostly international sales hence my handle. I can tell your equipment deliveries have been pushed back by a month or so
And replacement parts are a nightmare. I can show you an easy example on the parts side, One of the largest distributors in the US is a firm named Parts Town , type that into a search engine and on the main page at the top on the parts search bar type in 826-1712 or 807-3366. They are an fat filter pump motor and an ignition module for H50 series fryer banks used in McDonalds, Burger King , Arbys etc.…… These are purchased items not manufactured by Manitowoc so it’s a pipeline problem. McDonalds has recently set up two additional approved vendors for replacement equipment as Frymaster cannot keep up with demand. Henny Penny Corp and Pitco [ a Middleby Marshall company] Manitowoc’s competition. Manitowoc is losing market share as a result. Same thing with the Garland Range clamshell grill they make for McDonalds , All new stores and remodels are now putting Taylor grills because Manitowoc can not deliver. It goes on and on………………………. Bottom line all these problems are going to start showing up on Manitowoc’s bottom line.

    "From Bentek "

February power burn climbs to highest winter levels on record

The weak natural gas price environment has led to a notable uptick in deliveries to power plants, as month-to-date deliveries in the northeast sample have averaged 3.90 Bcf/d, 0.23 Bcf/d higher than the January mark. Month-to-date deliveries on Transco in the region have jumped 74 MMcf/d to 442 MMcf/d, including an increase of 56 MMcf/d to Tenaska’s 946 MW combined cycle plant in Fluvanna County, VA. Dominion’s deliveries jumped 68 MMcf/d above January levels to 331 MMcf/d, including a 103 MMcf/d increase at the 939 MW Doswell facility in Hanover, VA. Algonquin has also seen an increase of 76 MMcf/d to 496 MMcf/d, with 57 MMcf/d stronger deliveries to the 872 MW Fore River plant in Norfolk, MA. February deliveries to the Fore River plant have averaged 125 MMcf/d, its highest monthly average in Bentek’s flow data over the past 10 years. Bentek's modeled Northeast power burn has averaged 5.2 Bcf/d MTD, the highest level on record during a winter month.

    "From the Denver Post "
Jeff Storey, Level 3’s CEO says this: “Level 3 had a solid 2014, delivering strong financial and operational results and completing the acquisition of tw telecom. In 2015, we continue to focus on executing against our integration plans while investing to grow the business well into the future.”
The company also ended up with $325 million in free cash flow for the year, which got investors excited because it meant the company made money from operations. For 2015, Storey said he expects cash flow to be at “$550-$600 million.”
The Wall Street Journal translated the growth as Level 3 “has finally begun to outpace its spending on network maintenance and debt payments.”
And analysts were pleased with the better than expected per-shareearnings of $0.35, excluding the special items. Analysts had expected$0.33 per share.
However, fourth-quarter revenue was less than analysts expectedfourth-quarter revenue of $1.95 billion. Level 3 posted $1.91 billion in unaudited consolidated revenue.
As expected, its “Wholesale Voice Services and Other Revenue” was down — to $137 million for the quarter, compared to the year ago’s $159 million. The company breaks out this item to show investors that it doesn’t do much to Level 3’s bottom line, said Valerie Finberg, vice president of corporate communications and investor relations. Wholesale voice services refers to the telephone service, in the era when companies charged for long distance calls per minute. Today, most consumers have switched to mobile phones and texting to communicate. And businesses are moving to Voice over Internet Protocol, or VoIP, calls.
“It’s only 7 percent of our total revenue and we manage it for margin contribution, unlike the rest of our services which we manage for revenue growth,” Finberg said.
Level 3 is much more interested in growing services like IPVPN, which provides companies with a secure and private connection to communicate between offices all over the world. That has been a big driver for growth, she said.

Residential and commercial heating combined is less than half of electric power use or industrial use , although winter heating helps reduce storage it’s far from being the driver for usage.

Manitowoc’s consolidation in the food service division is a complete disaster, it will lead to a miss this quarter and an even bigger one next quarter. Their materials/parts pipeline is a complete joke , it’s a wonder they sell any finished goods………..
