It is so funny to read posts from seniorbug that are identical to what goldbooger wrote. Why did you change your username? amedaus, it's hilarious that you're so obsessed with my NFLX trade. You lost your entire net worth on GORO. In fact, I even told you to take some of your paper profits and pay for your son's college education, but, no, you forced him to take out loans. Ha ha.
NFLX is a single position of mine. One of many. The Art of Short Selling hinges on cracking the timing nut. Many people had a difficult time shorting GORO for years while it appreciated, too, but in the end that short paid well. People had a tough time shorting Enron. People had a tough time shorting real estate REIT's, too. In the end, they all made money.
amedaus, give up your obsession, and stop ruining this board just because of your own bitterness. Let people talk about GORO without your constant distractions.
"" I enjoy seeing people like IPDaily's take on this company. ""
Ha ha. That's funny, amedaus.
"" I would be attacking IPDaily, Dolfnacht, Engynear ""
No, amedaus. That would force you to talk about GORO. You want to avoid talking about GORO. You want to try to keep everyone from talking about GORO on this thread.
Here's an offer. Let's go discuss NFLX over on the NFLX board. We can easily see each other's comments there simply by tracking each other's usernames. Or, send me an email, and we can debate it there.
"" Q4 has traditionally been SORO's least productive quarter given holiday shut downs. The fact that SORO's Q1 underperformed Q4 should be noted. With all their updates....new faces, switchbacks, vein discoveries, drill results....SORO continues to tread water in terms of ounces created. With a positive cash stockpile, I can't place SORO on the "barely surviving" list of destined to fail companies....but.....SORO ticks ZERO boxes for a successful future investment. With the addition of "worker strife" to the already substantial list of red flags........NO offing WAY ""
Would you like to comment on this, amedaus / seniorbug?
"" feel free to go back and use my history of posting ""
Ha ha ha. amedaus, you created this username on June 16th when you decided to retire goldbooger. You made one comment about one stock and then immediately initiated some lame pump attempt for GORO as a way to start criticizing my NFLX trades. Since then, you've done nothing but try to beat that dead horse in order to distract everyone from GORO's failings. You want to ruin this board, so that GORO can't be discussed. Even if people here agree with you about my NFLX trades, they are here to discuss GORO.
"" I have never tried to prevent you from speaking a truth about GORO ""
You certainly seem to try to burry it beneath a pile of NFLX debate. Why don't you comment about GORO's inability to boost production and inability to boost reserves?
"" I cannot prevent people from speaking a truth about GORO ""
Ha ha, but you sure do try. Why don't you comment about their inability to boost production and inability to boost reserves?
"" the fundamentals took off ""
Thanks for providing such a sophisticated analysis, amedaus/seniorbug. Ha ha!
"" what goes up must come down. ""
Ha ha. Nope, not at all. That's the same principle stupid people have been using for GORO for years. They assume that since the stock is down, that it must be cheap. Bad assumption.
amedaus/senorbug, stop deliberately trying to ruin this board by obsessing about NFLX on here. I know you want to try to prevent people from speaking the truth about GORO, but it's not going to work. Now, do you have any comment about GORO's annual meeting? Were you able to afford to go? Do you have anything to say about the fact that GORO was forced to sell assets in order to keep cash on their balance sheet? Do you have anything to say about the fact that GORO can't grow yet continues to deplete their reserves?
It's really funny to see amedaus continue to comment on here with different usernames in order to disrupt the conservation about GORO.
"" Icahn held NFLX for 3 years. ""
And now he's dumped it. He didn't take some off the table. He didn't sell half. He dumped it. Ha ha.
Now, let's get back to talking about GORO, amedaus/seniorbug. Are you still holding it down here as it continues to slide? Are you trying to talk trash about NFLX because you're trying to burry engynear's comments about the annual meeting? It certainly seems as if you're doing that.
"" I'll give you credit for imagination ""
My imagination? Are you serious? People like Icahn and Buffett always tell the world about their investments after they make them. They are hoping that the herd follows their lead and drives their stock picks higher. I can be like a pump and dump except that they merely need to mention their investment in order to get the pump effect. Ichan succeeded in doing this with NFLX, and now he just dumped. Ha ha.
"" you hate people like you. ""
It's funny that this is the best you can do, amedaus / seniorbug. I'm sorry that you lost your entire net worth in GORO, but I most certainly tried to warn you.
barsold, who claimed you previously owned NFLX? I told you why amedaus is here, under a always changing new names, to rant about NFLX. It's because it makes him feel better for losing his entire net worth in GORO.
"" Icahn loves the fact that the market has rookies like you on the other side of his trades ""
No. You're an idiot amedaus/goldbooger/seniorbug, Icahn likes the fact that the masses follow him. That drives the stocks he buys higher. He hates people like me. He made that more than clear during my one, indirect run-in with him.
"" you care about whether Icahn is in or out of a stock? ""
Sure. The herd follows people like Icahn. I don't, but the herd does.
"" Why do we even care about Nflx? ""
Because amedaus lost his entire net worth in GORO. His life was entirely destroyed by this stock. He HATES the fact that I was so right about something that destroyed his life, so the only pleasure he now gets in life is being able to highlight the fact that my growing short position in NFLX has severely hurt my portfolio's returns (which would be incredible otherwise). What's so funny, is that AUM continues to grow despite recent lackluster returns for funds that are short these overvalued pigs.
You're an idiot, seniorbug/amedaus. You still don't know the difference between growing cash flow and a stock price that appreciates. When so many buyers don't know the difference between the two, we know we're in a bubble.
"" He made a ton of dough "" - Yes, and now he is out. Ha ha.
"" The annual meeting is in 2 hours. Anyone planning on asking this CEO and this Board of Directors some serious questions for a change? The 60% bonuses last year might be an appropriate starting point. Maybe also, where the $2M went in Turkey. How about the CFO turnstile? Or the silliness of a CEO letter to the CFTC that was drafted from the website of a purported conspiracy kook? Why did they sell Golden Trump Resources and the rationale for the price? How about the sweet deal for the headquarters/condo sold to Bill Reid? Furniture and computers included. And so on. I could keep them for days answering questions. ""
engynear, I doubt the sheep that actually attend the meeting will ask any straightforward questions. Anyone smart or bold enough to ask such questions has already sold the stock and won't be at the meeting.
