Similar in that they cancelled appearance. Rumors, run up in stock price, actual news a couple of days later.
See the chart.
Disclaimer: have been long both ACHN and ACAD for years( trading a bit, of course).

CEMP(@$24)( a few month ago, went to $40+ afterwards, just last week over l"biotec buble bursting" nonsense got down to $31, back to $35);TTPH(@$36) -just 10 days ago, @$38 now.
Looks like it.If they counted on significant HCV revenues , they would have balked at paying that much( even for a gem( and blockbuster) of a drug by any normal standard).
P.S. Checked the price : down quite a bit. Looks like some people share the sentiment.
"Those 12 stocks I will continue to hold in year 2015. Great science, great potential.
ACAD, EXAS, MACK, NBIX, SGMO, OMER, CLDX, ARIA, IDRA, MSTX, CYTR, SYN"
I happen to have first, couple in the middle( precisely!) and two last ones.Lack conviction on just one of those.
Present to your attention:
1) My candidates: CEMP, INSM ,PFNX .
2) Google this:hedgefund center ( my recent find). Very informative and well organized site with aggregate data on what those guys are doing( up to the latest quartely SEC filings).
In case of biotech like CEMP, the target number often has little meaning( to me, anyway). Apart from attempting to form my own perception of what and how the company is trying to achieve , observing what market does/has done recently provides more relevant info. That's why the sources like hedgefund center are quite helpful. Also, do not forget that most stakeholders ( including the firms those analyst work for) trade around core positions. If that is not your cup of tea, fine-just be ready to see a rocky ride up( I think). The one firm I would not trust ( but DO NOT OVERLOOK!!!)on biotech: GOLDMAN( the conflict of interest has been evident for me in so many cases: the latest one -NPSP, sale of which at $46 they facilitated, having announced $32 target just a few weeks prior).
1) Yahoo does not allow to post a link even to something they publish!!
So , go to CLDX YAHOO page to read the article( CLDX also mentioned there)
2) Google( hedgefund center) : very informative site with aggregate data on what those guys are doing.
Aggregate and fund specific data according to latest 13-F filings (and quite a bit more regarding issues of the day)
Very informative. If you are aware of better source of info would appreciate the link.
How about other than company PR sources ? Never thought of those? good for you, you do have room to grow. You are welcome.
Thank you. But the question was about the steady(!) rise the stock has had lately. Surely, you are not the only one holding those views: looks like the opposite bias has an upper hand at the moment. Your comments on that would be appreciated.
It is a bit more quiet here than on the other HCV related board, so let me ask you( I did read your post yesterday there as to reasons you are negative ) this here:why the other stock behaves lately the way it does( I am long there as well, playing around a bit).Think it is not exactly polluting this board with off topic nonsense.
Disclosure: I have no opinion on the trades you claim you have made, I do have an opinion on whether exchanges about those are to my liking.
Looks like the market has made up it's mind ( IMS ## tell the story) as to relative market share size.
If ABBV does nothing new(patent litigation win, a stab at new compound through acquisition of ...), it will disappear from the war zone altogether.
A bit of GILD and ..., zero of ABBV in my custody.
