I just signed in to thank all of you for contributing to a nice and respectful discussion, so often lacking on other finance threads. Thanks!
what would be your (this board's) estimate about the long-term growth rate of this company? TIA.
I would have expected that land and finite resources would not have declined in price as much as the general stock market. What's wrong with IFGL? What's with the large decline in IFGL since early-Feb 2009?
Regarding the $1000 threshold (box 1 on the K1) mentioned by froggy, can I expect to stay under the $1000 threshold if I have only 200 shares?
Thanks in advance.
8/27/2008 price is at $28.8
New here, but estimating the price may fall until $28 (or, $25) before rebounding.
I bought at $28.5 yesterday, and I suspect the stock may yet test its 6 month low before it rebounds. However, I usually hold at least 2 years, so my questions to all are: 1) what do you think of DSX valuation and 2) what is your 1 yr+ outlook for DSX?
Note, DSX is a major component of SEA, the new etf.
P.S. Why all the emotion and name calling in some other threads? Why investors target each other instead of focusing on the markets?
I sold on 07/16 at 68.45 (placed the order on 07/15) and I'm just hoping to get in again at $65 or so...this is a good stock to hold in these uncertain times.
I can't figure why CUT is getting slammed (Jan 22, '08) lately. I'd have expected timberland to be considered an "asset" like land, gold, etc. in a tightening economy.
When you say "to take advantage of proper allocations without focusing as much on specific investments." what vehicles do you use...ETFs, CEFs, etc.?
