I sold my GEVA shares. I am small potatoes so I only had 100 shares at 104.88 but sold october 105 calls..........i screwed myself of over 9k in gains....lol
SGEN is interesting. They have bought 100-200M worth of stock last few months. I will shift some money into IDRA as well. They are also on BOD there but position is very small in the BB overall portfolio.
I was thinking about ONCE or NVTA but bought NVTA because it was cheaper. For CLVS, how come BB's 2.2M position didn't show up on the 13F? BB filed a form 13D on 2/17/2015 where they stated 2.3M shares ownership but how come it is not reflected in the 3/31/2015 13F? BB didn't seem to make many conviction buys except for ONCE and NVTA this past quarter. Good luck!
Yes, SGEN is my biggest position at 40% of the portfolio and will look to add maybe 2-3 percentage more. Next is IDRA (complete dog!!!) and CLVS at 15%. I am waiting for their 13F as well but I think it will be very interesting this quarter. From GEVA and PCYC, they will have $2B in buying power to be deployed but the only question is where.
I tried to add more CLVS yesterday but bid ask spread was $1 at around 10AM yesterday so didn't get filled at $82.50 lol. This is pretty bogus if they had that private conference call. It looks like there was some major institution buying CLVS.
What do you think of epipen approval? I am betting on near 100% for ATRS but will flip shares immediately. Deerfield's position is bullish but they turn over their portfolio too much. Good luck!
I have been enjoying this biotech bubble but not as much as you from what I can tell haha. I only buy whatever the baker brothers buy now. SGEN, IDRA, CLVS are my biggest positions.
Let's see if this bullish indicator holds. I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong when I made the other technical bullish outside reversal when this was trading at 3.35. I find the signal line crossover to be more "indicative" than an outside reversal. I did buy shares at 3.36 that day so I've been down a good amount! Hoping to recover some losses. Good luck!
Answer - Does it matter? Do you want to share your profits with more shares outstanding just so you can "have a higher institutional ownership"? It's pathetic that they did an offering at $4 (which btw was a 10% discount to market close that day) in October 2012 to $2 in May 2015.
THIS is the reason that institutional ownership is so low! It's because the smart money knows that ATRS can't do anything to get the shares that they bought in the offering to go up. I wonder what Deerfield's James Flynn must be feeling right now!
BB purchased 1M shares of GEVA at 94.19 in early january. BB has been buying roughly 6M shares of SGEN at 31-34/share from December to February worth ~150M.
SGEN is 35% of my port and GEVA was only 15% of port :(
It didn't come across my news feed either but google "Credit Suisse Seattle Genetics" and you will see a quick article from Benzinga.
I bought 100 shares at 104.88 and sold the october $105 calls. I FEEL LIKE VOMITING LOL!!!
So when is this deal going to close? I would rather have my money sooner than later.
They have warrants to BUY the shares. So if for whatever reason, the short goes completely haywire, they will have the warrants to COVER. This is a completely risk free trade for them to short IDRA to make a quick buck. It's been done MANY times before.
Julian Baker also has a fiduciary duty to the LP's of Baker Brothers so he should be able to do anything necessary to increase BB profits...
