I guess I worry too much. But with a fair amount of international experience over the years myself, it always takes more, a lot more, involvement and investment that anyone ever thinks possible to do it right. And, when things don't go right, it always bodes ill for the parent company, if not to the bottom line, but to reputation. That being said, my international experience was always in manufacturing which granted, is a different animal all together than the restaurant business. Taking a wait and see approach on this one though.
I liked everything I heard on the conference call except the international expansion with franchisees. Am concerned this will divert attention and resources away from the main goal. Saber, got a perspective on this?
Haven't heard from my old friend in a while. If you are still out there, what say you? Took gains on my 2 biggest positions in the last week. My take is too far too fast. Will sit out for a while and look for opportunities to get back in. Was at the VIP party in Columbus and will visit with the wife tomorrow.
Here is a link to a story about a yet announced location in Cincinnati, OH
I have but one thought . . . . BUY! I have been in this stock since the IPO and weeks like this are just part of the territory, It seems once a year the stock goes through a plunge like this. And, since the IPO, I take opportunities like this to add to my position. As one of the other posters noted, they have been knocking it out of the park for the industry. Yes, it can be frustrating. But, IMHO, the upside potential on this stock is fantastic!
Thanks country. Figured I wasn't alone. Hoping my long term buddy Sabre can she some light on it. If not, I will call Investor Relations and see what the story is.
Hey Saber, help me out here. Is this the stock sale they talked about at quarters end? Or, is this on TOP of what they announced previously? Market seems to be taking this as a total surprise.
Excellent points Saber. Yeah, I guess I didn't really look at it that way. Will keep my powder dry until sometime well after the offering. At today's prices, I am already ahead of the game on the major chuck I sold. Damn this could be fun . . . . . .
Well, I guess I got my wish for the stock to drop back some after the quarter, eh? But, am going to take advantage the lower price. Not thrilled that they watered the stock, but, plan to make some money on it.
Hey Saber! Yep! Old Uncle Bob is still here! And I am still a believer as I have been from the IPO. But, I took a pretty good chunk off the table with the gains. My thinking is that it will settle back some (17 ranges) after the quarter is announced, which I think will be a very difficult one due to the weather. It my plan plays out, I will be loading back up plus some. With nothing else out there growing, this ought to explode by year end..
I am betting we will see a pull back sometime soon. Gone too far too fast IMHO.
Likes like KONA is finally getting some attention. Even after a "hold' rating, it is charging ahead! Thanks for the update Saber on Ida ho, ho, ho!
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Good call Saber! And it is so good news to these old ears! Listened to most of the conference call. Heard in addition to the already opened Boise, and soon to be opened Woodlands, they have Ft. Worth opening in 1st Qtr 2014. Then, of the new opening announcements, I heard 4 more in 2014, including El Paso opening in Q2, 2014 and 3 more, including Sarasota, FL and i think I may have heard another location in San Antonio? Don't recall the 4th location. Anyone?
And then, in 2015, to confirmed leases, 1 in MIami, Fl and the other in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
So FINALLY, it appears this chain that I believe so strongly in, appears on it's way to fulfulling some of the promise I have believed in for so long.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Sadly, as I know you are MORE than aware Sabre, we are only now back the IPO price. But, you got your wish. Plan to continue to add to my position on dips.
Let it be so!!!!!!!!!! Finally showing the promise that got me into it back at the IPO. Like the new location choices too. Hoping to make it to either Carmel or Lincolnshire this summer. Thanks for the report on San Antonio Saber.
