A couple of years ago it was reported that several USA corporations were leaving money made overseas in accounts overseas to avoid USA corporate income tax. Now that the Swiss have allowed the Franc to float and the Euro is almost par with the USA Dollar, are these same companies loosing money by not bringing that money home?

You know the way I see it, if Warden Bain is successful in keeping CEN out of lakeshore based on zoning, then all the other towns, cities, counties, etc in Canada are going to go back on the approved and licensed growers/processors and require them to be taxed at Employment zone rates. This is going to be bad on the cash flow of the already approved.

I never heard of a buyout rumor. I heard of a merger rumor back on December 18th. This Sunday marks 31 days since that announcement was made. Sunday evening there could very well be an announcement of a merger between Nokia and ALU in a new company called Submarine Cable Inc. No more no less

It is possible that a company like GW Pharmaceutical (gwph) could decide to locate a Sativex manufacturing facility in Canada, maybe a nice community like Lakeshore, Ontario. GW currently manufactures Sativex in London. They grow their own MJ clandestine in warehouses located throughout England. Medical Marihuana is more than selling bulk cured flowers or joints. Sativex and Marinol are two drugs that are sold in main stream pharmacys with a prescription from a regular medical doctor. They are even covered by insurance company discount plans. A GW could be a 100,000 pounds per year user of flower extracts.

Does anyone know if Sativex, manufactured by GW Pharmeceuticals, is approved in Canada? Does anyone here own GWPH?

    Merger rumor

The rumor announcement on Dec. 18th about a acquisition or merger, could that have been a loss in translation between French, Finnish or English? I am wondering if ALU and some other company, maybe NOK or maybe ERIC was actually talk about another company joining ALU in the ownership of the submarine division. I believe in the past two quarters ALU said they were actively seeking a partner or a new owner for the submarine division.

    Issue

OTTAWA – On November 25, 2014, Health Canada issued warning letters to 20 licensed producers regarding their advertising practices.

These warning letters are in follow-up to an advertising bulletin sent to all licensed producers on June 30, 2014, that outlined the general prohibitions against the advertising of Cannabis contained in the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR), the Food and Drugs Act (FDA) and the Narcotic Control Regulations (NCR).

As a result of these prohibitions, the information provided by licensed producers to the public should be limited to basic information for prospective clients such as the brand name, proper or common name of the strain, the price per gram, the cannabinoid content, and the company’s contact information.

Licensed producers have been given until January 12, 2015 to come into compliance with the advertising prohibitions following which Health Canada will take enforcement action, as appropriate. Health Canada will update this list as licensed producers become compliant.

Clients should be aware licensed producers who do not comply with the provisions in the FDA or the NCR can be subject to compliance and enforcement action, including suspension and possible revocation of the licence or prosecution.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • An announcement could come anyday now.

I am not sure I had what I heard but, the majority of the dissenters at the council meeting said they were not opposed to marihuana (medical marihuana, miracle marihuana, etc.). The majority complained about the fence, the lights, strobe lights, etc. So is CEN going to have to remove the fence? Are they going to remove the lights? It sounds like the eyesore that was being complained about is going to remain. They said they are not opposed to marihuana but they are going to keep the eyesore. Is the Canadian judicial system based on Napoleanic Law? I mean your capital is in a Frence speaking city.

Please explain this to me his worship approved marihuana growing in agriculture approved areas as well as employment zone areas. They kept talking about four hecters or 9.88 acres. I thought I heard them say that an agricultural approved facility had to be 500 meters or about 1500 feet away from the nearest dwelling. That was not talked about in todays Lakeshore announcement of the approval.

The Greedy. Be greedy when others are fearful, be fearful when others are greedy.

  • If not will CEN Biotech have to take down the building and the fence at the sight of building one? I am not worried about site 2 and the hemp production. If the people of Lakeshore are worried more about property value than jobs, so be it, take the jobs somewhere else.
