The company is growing like a weed, new and repeat orders piling up, huge short position in denial, profitable in fourth quarter! What is not to like? Nice profit here already and I am holding for much more!! Longs have this on right!
Unfortunately, in my opinion, since Sinovel is a Chinese company (which AMSC stockholders became dependent on) , I doubt that AMSC will ever see any monetary result from a judgment in AMSC's favor. Sinovel will simply disappear into Chinese 'bankruptcy/insolvency', and there will be no way to collect. Mysteriously, other Chinese companies will end up with the remnants of the former Sinovel assets and Chinese business will go on. Like many AMSC stockholders, I lost money, and finally sold out a few years ago. If you are investing in AMSC, do so based on the ongoing parts of the business and discount the Sinovel issue. If, by some miracle, any monetary payment is actually collected by AMSC, it will be a bonus. Avoid investing your money in any Chinese based company. The Chinese are for the Chinese, not for increasing the wealth of Foreign investors. Just an opinion from a person who has worked in China, spent a lot of time with many Chinese business leaders, and 'experienced' the Chinese business culture first hand! Good luck with your investments!
My summary takeaway was, that there were several things in the works, the numbers that will be reported going forward would be well received by investors, and if management doesn't feel a fair valuation is given to NRF by Wall Street look for more spinoffs or other plays to get the appropriate shareholder returns. The statement was clearly made that 'NRF/NSAM' management has proven that it can deliver over the past 10 years, delivers what it commits to, and will continue to do so going forward. There was an underlying confident tone to conference although the delivery was not always polished. Good call.
Now, numerous outbreaks of deadly children's respiratory viruses across the US. American children at risk. I am sure their is no relationship......move along folks.... nothing to see here.....You can keep your own doctor.......
Not magic 'boobwier'. Because of the demand by shorts to borrow the stock, they are paying higher and higher interest to borrow additional shares from brokers. Folks with shares in cash accounts are being solicited by their brokers to lend shares. Schwab is currently paying 95 and Fidelity recently quoted 21%. What do you figure they are charging the shorts? That is how it works! Any questions?
After digesting today's earnings report (and comments with regard to CAD) made by NRF management during the conference call, one would have to conclude that by mid 2015, stockholders in NRF should begin to see the dividend for NRF begin to increase again. Lots of $ to be made holding NRF and NSAM going forward! IMHO
fox, Using your logic, we should also ban driving, running, basketball, soccer, walking, jumping, bicycle riding, horse back riding, volley ball, gymnastic, snow shoveling, skiing, ...and, and, and.
One can only conclude that the reason the head of WH security was fired was because she was a woman! There is no evidence of this administration having ever fired anyone for incompetence.
Dar, For what it is worth, I was more inspired by the conference call. Tylis is coming in to his own in front of the microphone, after some previous tentative presentations in front of analysts. I think the performance speaks for itself. NSAM is off to the races. Everything was at or above expectations. The street tends to react better to under promise and over deliver. A 1cent miss is a disaster where as a 1cent beat is big news. I believe these folks will continue to deliver, while avoiding any 'aw shoots' along the way. As always, I appreciate your posts, just thought I would add my two cents! We will continue to make good money here.
Obviously the company is suffering through 'hard times'..........1 cent dividend increase is an insult!
Gary, Has the time change over the weekend improved the morning lighting in your mom's basement? Just curious.........? ..
and....you can keep your doctor, and there is no inflation, and it is Bush's fault, and Ebola is not a threat to Americans, and ISIS is the junior varsity........
You don't think Mr. mm wanted a close below $10, do you? Maybe, he can shake a few shares loose from a nervous long? This stock price is driven by one thing right now......litigation outcome!
Have decided that 2015 is the year to throw all GE retirees to the curb without their 'promised' retirement group medical plans. If you are a current employee of GE take everything you can get from GE while you are there and if you have marketable skills, find a better company to work for. Unfortunately, my generation put too much into the company. An Immelt promise, apparently, is just as good as an Obama promise....what a surprise! I wonder if Jeff has a 'special' retirement medical plan for he and his important people?
