The shorts are sooo 'clever' in their attempt to try raise expectations beyond reality so PLUG will appear to 'miss'. I am so completely fooled by their stealth and cunning that I will probably sell my entire position because I will be taken in by their ruse. On the other hand, I think I will continue to ignore their BS and build my position further on any near term weakness! Hydrogen fuel cells are just beginning to experience commercial scale acceptance and PLUG will do very well for long investors! Sleep well shorts, I know I will!
They do, however, pay other 'tutes' for the right to borrow their shares! I assure you, they pay the going rate based on supply and demand...! More demand (HTB) means higher costs! You think if I loaned you 5m shares to short at say 5% and I get an offer to loan out the shares to another player at 9%, that I am not going to be calling you for an adjustment? Or, I can sell the shares out from under you if you don't want to play! A real short squeeze can be a lot of fun to watch!
Keep selling shorty! The 33m+ shares will be easy cover once the panic begins! It is only a matter of price!
Why not gold and silver coins instead of stock? or maybe seashells? or the flip of a coin?...... I am sure bashers would find an issue with any deal PLUG makes. This company has a great long term future! Get used to it and enjoy the ride!
OK, PathBP.........Here is my input on your request for predictions! I predict that you will be 12 on your next birthday. Maybe not intellectually, but, chronologically. Someday you may even get a life, but, that still appears to be a long ways off....!
Sooo, Kandrew....good to see you haven't given up your lawn mowing business. Should help you cover your 100 share PLUG short....!
My guess Is that shorts have a nice profit, but, are finding shares hard to come-by when they try to cover. They are stuck between paying the dividend or paying more to cover. First rule in shorting, don't be the last short out!
Cramer is nothing more than a personality on TV. If the man really was the brilliant investment strategist he is suppose to be, he would be counting his $billions instead of making noise as a fading TV shill. Read the Street column that has his name attached and even a novice investor can see that it is a waste that is far from accurate a large percentage of the time. His one claim to fame is that he has made a good living as a TV personality! IMHO
Not until after GE spin-off has been accomplished! The major reason GE hasn't moved faster, is because SYF is a small, but, significant contributor to their net. Once spin is completed and company is independent, look for dividend payouts to begin. All IMHO of course!
Lets not jump to conclusions or judgment of the 'suspect'. I am sure there will be a JD department investigation into whether or not 'excess force' was used by the police that shot him or were they just 'behaving poorly'? Also, how was the conclusion reached that he is a muslim? How do we know that? His name sounds Jewish or Catholic or Christian.....! Wait until the full WH spin is generated, before you rush to judgment. Are we not a nation of tolerance and laws...?
These folks need to break free from GE sooner rather than later!
The SYF spinoff company should significantly outperform GE once the two are operating independently. However, It doesn't appear that there is any real advantage to holding (or purchasing) GE stock to 'get the spin-off ' as shareholders initially understood. But, I guess nothing has really changed. Being a GE shareholder through the Immelt years has been one long disappointment. Good investing to all!
They probably have an 'executive give-away' scheduled, and needed some quick funds?! It is Friday again, you do realize! Keep in mind, the management team has shareholder's best interest in focus.......?
