Accounting change - All-in sustaining cost is non-GAAP. Costs are higher than the old method 'cash cost' of production.

The gold forward offered rate and futures prices have been in backwardation for the first time since 2001, giving more line support. Emerging markets has recently pushed gold higher on its appeal as a 'quasi-currency.' The settling of interest rate derivatives has helped.

I'm been posting the same on an alumni investment site. Even though silver prices have been a little weak due to over supply, future industrial demand and foreign investment could be an industry positive to consider within the strong producers.

Yes, I agree. I have been able to load mapping stuff on this other board - where I'm only been able to discuss that stuff here. I'm not an engineer, nor have a degree in an earth science as many there do, but I received a lot of positive interest.

Yourself and Mainman should be happy that the testing and commission at El Cubo is now completed. The foundry and filter plant are really to go. This will make a big difference (internally).

Silver fix: Higher price sales and strategies may slow EXK from selling their silver production through the exchanges. That's a plus. This would provide them with more leverage in setting the price at which they sell the metal to their contract buyers. The New York fix will still be in place, but this will slow the 'money transfer interest rate settings' with money transfers and over-night rate on EURO POUND DOLLAR gold. That's a plus.

With the filter plant completed, they will go for A-V gold veins.

Doubters need to call EXK and make an appointment to speak to geology management and operations. At El Cubo, detailed engineering, piping, instrumentation and higher power electrical for both the foundry and the completed filter plant is now in complete operation. The filtering makes it easier for processing different metals. I said before in posts that gold is their goal and give all locations. They have started doing that in several of those locations.

Since late December, I had been posting on a private alumni board and there's some very big investors with billions in total assets. I had posted about mapping on this board and ( photo analysis ) on this full tech resource board. Their are many occupational earth science and graphic engineers there. They like my research. I had recommended a swing trade position twice since December, but expressed economic externals suggestions as to take some money off the table after decent pointed gains. When I see a bottom, I will post buy and hold.

Referring to my first post on this tread: Silver fix:
Actually, you don't need higher knowledge to know that most contracts are renewed at the end of the year. Just the use of the phone to double check is needed from the higher knowledge folks at EXK corporate. And I did.

In a post you said "The "FIX" will always be a fix for the powers that be to control prices and cover there derivative positions." You talk about the paper money trail. In others posts you mention HFTs.

I agree. Very much so. Derivatives and their use to gold is the game - the paper game. Myself, having posted tons about derivatives and how they are used has been useful to me in both currency and metal trading. I'm almost ready to buy a large position in EXK.

Yeah, yes I think the same with central banks here. As the E.C.B. is moving to a negative interest rate, they will instead have to pay the central bank to park money there.

Maybe the banks won't pass these negative rates to customers, but instead start to charge fees for account maintenance.

I agree. I posted this on Nov 9.

I just finished reading 'Deposition of the Upper Ore in the El Cubo Mine, Guanajuato Mining District,

Drilling intersected strong mineralization in both the Villalpando vein and the Asunción vein.

There's a "sequence which is intruded by three main north-west trending silver rich vein systems that extend between 10km and 25km along strike. Known as La Luz Madre and La Sierra, the veins systems host gold and silver in ratios ranging between 1:72 and 1:214." I had talked about this as with the San Sebastian project in Jalisco state and extending rich veins at Guanacevi and Bolañitos by use of mapping. Mapping works well because the principal rocks hosting the ore shoots......

Guanajuato Conglomerate for the lower ores and Bufa Rhyolite for the upper ores show fault-associated deposits focused as open-space fillings in fracture zones. Veins hosted in the relatively open spaces will be/is primary mining targets. This is a easy study by the use of mapping. Stope mining with the use of scoop trans can be seen with Goog maps.
    ------------------------------------

    Today and Future present
As we know they are now there. They are there.
Will they be pulling large gold deposits soon. We will see. It's there.

    Bibliographic information

Title Deposition of the Upper Ore in the El Cubo Mine, Guanajuato Mining District, Mexico
    Author Riki Girnius
    Length 48 pages

Fluid inclusion and mineralogical evidence for boiling of metal-bearing solutions is found in gold-rich portions of the eastern Sierra system; this part of the system is interpreted as the least eroded part of the district.

Recent investigations conclude that the boiling level was above the eroded surface that contains the Lower zone except for the gold-rich Cubo mine whose upper workings are above the reconstructed boiling level.

Spatially, the deep base metal-rich ore and the gold-rich assemblage of the Lower zone are related to plutonic phases adjacent to and within the collapse feature, respectively. Overall, the mineralizing epoch at Guanajuato is contemporaneous with widespread mid-Tertiary magmatic activity and formation of fissure-vein metallic deposits in northern Mexico, attributable to subduction processes.

There are over 20 EXK research reports ( geo studies) completed this year with most published in May. Mostly about the gold - El Cubo. I listed several references two days ago.

MSN - Investing --- EXK number one gold/silver miner to own. I would expect an announcement on El Cubo gold, but then again Mr Cooke likes conference calls. It's been years since I'm seen so many private/public studies done on a mining location. Often private studies are followed by M&A activity. Possible, because Sebastian is also prime golden.

"So many black swans circling U.S. reserve currency status." Great post - a banking $ reason behind all of this is: Investment banks have been buying fixed-for-floating-rate swaps and buying gold. I saw this three weeks ago as I started to post super bullish. I said this would not be a quick swing trade. Internals - gold to be mined - will also give EXK support, but we may see a few down days in the nearer term.
