Sorry to bust your bubble but......Snapchat is a $ 20 Million investment on a huge valuation. Even if snapchat goes to $100 Billion valuation, the $20 Million will be worth about $100 Million or 10 cents a share.

Tumbler if it does the $100 Million in Revenues in 2015, as was mentioned in the last call, at even 10 times REVENUES would be worth $1 Billion or 1 dollar a share in 2016.

So, the only thing left is Alibaba and THAT will only see its value unlocked if it's is spun off to avoid corporate taxes ( versus personal taxes unless it's in a 401 k ).

So, a buyout is still the best option and most logical option for maximization of shareholder value in less than 2 years!!!!

Of course, you work at Yahoo! Only idiots are left at Yahoo! Yahoo sans the cash it got by selling Alibaba shares, it's remaining Alibaba and Yahoo Japan stakes, is worth ZERO! Yes, the Core Yahoo Business is valued by the market at a BIG ZERO! that's Marissa Mayer and the yahoo Board for you! I and other activists have every right to sue the Board! And Replace the CEO and the Board and sell the Yahoo Core Business for something above zero and keep the rest of the valuable stake in Alibaba and Yahoo Japan, because they are only things of value. rest is value destructive by the Board!!!!!

She is under pressure by the Board! Carl Icahn is accumulating. Expect 13 D filing soon!

  • BABA management: You are unlikely to find a larger user base in the USA that you can buy and leverage with your outsourcing platform to create a new business model for Ecommerce in the USA and chip away at some of Amazon's business.

    1. I have zero interest in a dividend! 2. The share price has moved up solely because BABA has and despite Marissa' s non delivery of top line growth or Eps growth. Had there been no Alibaba stake this Marissa's YHOO would trade close to the $10 net cash on the books! 3. The BABA stock value is because of 2 things : the investment that Jerry Yang made and the phenomenal management of a powerful asset poor business model by BABA management in delivering 50 per cent growth in GMV and revenues on a base much larger than YHOO. Marissa is simply the queen riding the riches of what Yang and BABA management have produced. Marissa knows not how to generate real earnings and eps growth in the core business .

Anyway, I hope the activist investors, large PE funds and Softbank, Alibaba, MSFT and GOOG go ahead and chop this company into pieces by splitting up BABA, Yahoo Japan etc and merging the rest into GOOG or MSFT and giving Marissa her hundreds of millions of unearned money and closing out her career as a CEO of a major corporation. Hopefully, Carl Icahn is also looking at getting back in.......

  • She is going to blow the Alibaba money on acquisitions that will never produce any real profits or add significantly to EPS!!!!

Yahoo Board please listen and spin off the Alibaba stake in a tax free spin off to investors now!!

IF you don't you the Board will get sued !!!! Do it BEFORE the U.S. government changes the tax laws!!!!!!

You have a fiduciary duty to get this done ASAP before the government changes the tax laws or tax rulings on such spin off!
