Hey Eso, I see you're also following Anavex (working on an AD and other neuro diseases like PRAN) ...........do you think their drugs have more promise than PRAN? just curious
just sell (if you do own any PRAN).......no one forced you to buy...and if you want to short go for it also
Made my quota for the month of March....think I'll take the rest of the day off
For the past 10 years everyone else went after reducing beta amyoids only as you mention above but PRAN's approach is based on the toxic effect of beta amyloids are metal mediated and thus we have PBT2...and it's estimated that over 1 billion per year has been spent for the past 27 years
I start with an initial purchase and based on events will either increase or decrease positions....with PRAN I began at 4.09 and added up to 11.25....in hindsight I wish I bought all my shares at 4.09 so I do understand your point also
its crazy...JAZZ...enough said, was never in them but remember looking at them same time I was researching GENT....funny thing was JAZZ bought GENT....hopefully we get a real lifechanger on our side one of these days!
In my opinion, the waiting is the hardest part....I have picked plenty of winners and friends of mine have been in the same stocks but the outcomes varied........I will tell of 1 winner I sold way to early SBAC....in at .65 sold at 1.75....cringe when I look at it today....those were my beginning years and I learned the most from experience......my most recent winner which I did very very well was GENT........honestly when playing the biotechs I never had an easy pick where everything fell into place.....been through EMA/FDA denials and resubmissions, price drops, bashers and all the other fun stuff but in the end the waiting paid off more times than it didn't
Maybe I'm setting the bar a little higher...one could easily say that the odds of success to date for an AD drug have been 0%.....yes, I know we have approved Namenda, Aricept, Razadyne, and Exelon but these aren't anything near the word effective in my book and if I or a family member of mine was suffering from AD I wouldn't be thrilled at these options.
I'm just really looking for the first true effective treatment here out of PBT2 for AD....and to me decent would be what we already have...that's all I'm saying and I'm optimistic for good results here
and that's why we saw what we did with HD results.....I've taken slack that I don't know what I'm talking about but the vast majority of folks investing in stocks aren't Dr's or Scientists so its easy see and manipulate decent results as a 'glass half empty' to potential investors.
My definition of success for Imagine trial is good to fantastic results (reversal of cognition loss in PBT2 dosed patients)....decent (although good in relation to scientific community) will only get us back to where we are.....again this is all my opinion and speculation so here's to speculating to good results
It all depends on the results......the HD results were decent, if they are just decent for AD I would expect same movement as HD but if the results are fantastic (something that has never been accomplished to date in the AD arena) then that's a different story.....people can manipulate decent results but fantastic results will get everyone's attention
trying to come up with an effective AD drug.
1 Billion per year for the past 27 years! and the majority of those companies for the past 10 years pretty much only focused on reducing beta-amyloids.
Now here we have PRAN, taking a different approach and saying they believe the actual toxic effect of the beta amyloids are most likely metal mediated and here we are today with their MPAC PBT2.
Forget the box, PRAN is thinking like their is no box and that's what I like and why I invested......there are no guarantees but I have placed my bet....I could see why everyone would be doubting positive results given the history but IMAGINE if PBT2 actually works........I wont even bother telling anyone what I think a successful drug would be worth but when people do say things like 100%...200%...300% gains you can see why....this is it....we'll find out soon enough if this #$%$ works or not
dude......puff....puff...pass....that's classic...are you related to Spicolli from 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'...this board is awesome
Hey nashville.....I was wrong......you sound like an aristocrat.....I bet you use solid catch basin under your trailer rather than cinder blocks
