Wonder if Kernan is in SPY? He has seen it all before. Mark sure would have just bought an index.
Of course. He is sitting on a pile of cash after selling his netflix. Come on market. Get in my belly!!!!
Lots of haters. I am going to go crack open a nice cold IPA while I sit in my spa and drink to all you thumbs down haters. I don't think I ever gave anyone a thumbs down for their thoughts. Enjoy.
Lol. Did WEB say that? No. U got it with the 110%. Dates included no less. Now he says BV does not nearly reflect true IV because BRK is becoming an operating company rather than an investment company carrying assets at FMV. I guess that assumes WEB picks the right assets to buy and that their values will hold relative to depreciation. WEB wouldn't go heavy on capex intensive businesses if he thought we are in for a round of heavy inflation. What does he know that i don't know is what i always ask myself.
Today? Conservatively. Utility 25 + RR 60 + manufacturing at 10 X is 40 + 225 cash and investments. No adj for float or goodwill or equity participation of earnings and not deducting LTD because BRK can borrow near zero. I get 350 being pretty conservative. Some would say BNSF might be worth 80+ bil. No rain but no golf for me either. What say u?
WEB has beaten 99% of all funds out there so you can pretty much assume he knows what he is doing. He is no Kaufman Find or Janis Fund. Who else do you know that turned a twenty dollar bill into 210,000 dollars?
We used to take tennis rackets and put them on stomachs of kids like you when were young and rub their bellies with a brush until they bled. We called it the waffle. Who goes out of their way to intentionally TRY to bug someone. Life is short. You should be nice. The world would be a better place without people like you.
Added to BRK position today also. Greece will end up leaving the EU and then Greece won't be a problem anymore. They will be their own problem as it should be.
How good is BV when you go from an investment company that carries assets at FMV to one with long lived assets where you use the fasted depreciation method available under GAAP? Would you rather buy a reit 1.5 x book that bought their properties in 2007 or one that bought their properties in 1985 all else being equal? What is the BV of Sees or imagine if KO was entirely bought out?
