I try not to take out my frustration on telemarketers when they call -- they're just doing their jobs -- but the Medtronic telemarketers never stop calling our doctors office. We received so many calls in February and March --- that we started tracking their calls in the month of April. We tallied it up today - 27 calls in April alone --- for their cutting device. Is their a way we can be put on the do not call list? This is crazy.
I enjoy reading the newspaper everyday, but it contains less community involement and information than ever before. Maybe - just maybe newspapers should go back to covering their local communities like they use to. I know that New England is begging for it. Sorry if I upset you accorb1045, but its what readers want. Building an online site like this would be simple. Just wish I could share my ideas - I too have ink in my blood.
The definition of a “great” news organization has forever changed. Most journalists believe that "it’s a big loss to the community" when their circulation and paper declines. However, it seems that the people in the community don’t share that belief. I believe the community's demand shifted and that most newspapers just plain failed to adapt. Remember progress requires change - "Some will survive, while others perish.” Getting their act together to “best serve the community” has led many newspapers to their demise. Many newspapers simply don’t reach out to the community like they should – it’s that simple.
The stock market will suffer over the next 12-months, because it always happens the year after an election. Obama's QE's are coming home to roost. The sugar high is going to end because Barack Obama is going to raise revenue and cut entitlements. The combination of the two cannot be good for the economy.
When a widespread media conspiracy to support Obama is exposed - that defector will gain fame and fortune by revealing the memos, emails or phone calls by which the conspiracy was organized. It's just a matter of time.

I applied to Groupon months ago and received a spam rejection email from Dustin. He cc'd over 100 people with this email below. Just another example of why Groupon is failing.

Subject: Recent email from Groupon
I want to apologize for not Bcc'ing you on the email that was just sent about applying at Groupon. In no way did I mean to share that information - it was a mistake, and unfortunately a mistake that I can't take back.
Groupon does everything that we can to keep your information safe and your personal information confidential. This was sent to a random sampling of candidates for a handful of jobs across the company, and included both people who have applied on their own and people whom we have approached for employment.
Simply put, I'm sorry if I've added some stress to your day. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Also, a gentle reminder to please avoid "replying all" so that we can avoid any unwanted email chains. Thanks for your help and understanding.
From what I can see - consumer spending is way down. Look at Walmart, Sears and Best Buy. Stock trading pattern has been very low this summer and Businesses are shifting from business development to customer service focus. This is not good news.
Is China the real problem in this worldwide economy?
Europe is going to get hammered soon.
