Even as the market tanked today, large positions in consumer staples...PM & MO resulted in just a slight drop in my total portfolio today. As the market hit record levels, defensive issues ruled the day. Stay with tobacco and you will be rewarded....
disclosure: I am long PM, MO, LO, with smaller positions in VGR , BTI & RAI.
BTW I am fully invested in the market. Fed tapering could happen in first quarter 2014. Janet Yellen Fed Chair will continue tapering this year...stocks are the place to be.
Based on your reply, I can understand how you and others have lost or will loss money on STARZ.
Malone is a genius who will make money for shareholders. This stock is up he since the IPO was launched; how to loss money on this stock is beyond me. UNLESS YOU ARE SHORTING STARZ. In that case good-luck. I see $30 near term...wake up shorts that is a losing strategy.
Yes..nice story PM gets beverage distributor in Russia as part of the package:.
PM & Japan Tobacco each agreed to buy a 20% stake in Megapolis Distribution BV, a Russian consumer goods distributor focused on tobacco and beverages, granting the cigarette makers an interest in their Russian distributor.
"MO had went from $59 down to $19/share before rebounding"
What are you talking about? You are referring to the split out of PM from Altria. Do some research you appear totally confused since you have only half of the story.
Not really; my average price on Apple is in the $225 range..doubled my money.
If you have been reading messages here you should have known that so pay attention since I don't like repeating myself.
How desperate is this guy?...LOL
