NO boos...this is great. Blood in the Water.....funds on sideline waiting to be invested.....I see a few deals I'm salivating about.
Simple. She is a better choice than whatever new collection for the clown show the Repubs will put up as candidates.
Boos - seriously? Not funny to talk about spouse abuse or hurting your dog. I know, or think, you are kidding.....not funny though.
Bec and Rodent - Unlike, what you like to point out that she has turned her back because of the ACA - not true - he is just another capitalist.
She is PO'd because, in her opinion, and rightly so, he has turned into Bush lite....I know that will be difficult for you folks to accept, since you prefer to view him as a communist.
Here are her complaints:
You bailed out bankers and placed them in your cabinet.
•You placed Monsanto in charge of your FDA
•You helped out pharmaceutical and health insurance companies with Obamacare
•You expanded Bush's wars and started new ones with drones branding yourself a humanitarian war monger
•You bragged about crippling sanctions against Iran though they directly affected civilians
•You extended the patriot act and asserted your right to spy on the American people
•You asserted your right to detain them without trial
•You seized the authority to assassinate Americans without providing any evidence of their guilt or offering them due process of law
•You viciously punish journalists and pursue whistleblowers who expose your crimes though you vowed to protect them when you were running for office
•You arm Al Qaeda insurgents and refused to close Guantanamo, and you along with congress have criminalized protest
•And still you have the audacity to scold dictators about democracy, protests and freedom
If by 'epic fail' you mean that people with pre-existing conditions are finally able to get help and not face bankruptcy, then yes, epic fail. If it helped more than whatever your definition of hurt is, then it helped more....too bad you care nothing for society as a whole and only live in the bubble.
Of course it is not a good bill....it was the best compromise able to push through, while still bowing to the insurance firms. It is, however, better than the system we had before. It needs to be improved, not scrapped for the broken system we had prior. The real test will be in a few years, not where we are today. A legacy of not allowing people with pre-existing conditions to have insurance or unable to get care due to costs is no way to have a country that one can be proud of.
Rodent - Riddle me this? When did costs of healthcare and plans change year after not happen? Each year over the last 20 years costs have gone up and changes to plans, whether through Corporations plans or private have changed.
Also, by %, there are less poor now than before. Try to get your facts straight and stop being a mouthpiece for the 1% who work hard at having a two tier society.
Elk - we had no choice but to bail out Wall Street, or the monster recession would have become a depression. Wall Street / banks DID pay back the money.....the car companies a different story. The problem is that we had an opportunity to break up the big banks, create more jobs and stop the 'too big to fail' #$%$ and set us up for another financial melt down to come in the future. Our shyte leaders failed, once again, to take a great opportunity and manage the financial industry appropriately.......sickening.
My point Dickw is that there are no easy solutions.....but the Repubs are not helping the issue by being beholden to the 1%. However, I would most assuredly agree that the Dems are doing a horrid job all by themselves, without the help or obstructionism by the Repubs. I know you think I'm a 'Dem', I'm independent and care little for the #$%$ the Dems do, it is just that I care even less for the #$%$ the Repubs pull. Both are corrupt and beholden to special interest. The people need to demand more.....and the people need to come forth and put better candidates on the ballots than the #$%$ we get from both parties.
right....98% of Scientists are wrong....and the 2% paid by Big Oil and the Koch Brothers are correct. Sure Cricketseesnothing....sure.
Riddle me this: As far as 'killing the unborn' - why do "conservatives" hate teaching sex ed and providing for condoms so, as you say, we wouldn't be 'killing the unborn'?
Dickw - based on what you wrote, and having a two class society. Wouldn't it be better to compensate and ensure a more egalitarian society then? Why do a lot of people work 30-40 hours a week and can not make ends meet and then need and get Gov 'hand outs' just to survive? Isn't this playing exactly into the hands, according to you, of these so called communists? Why don't the 1%, CEOs, Large Business owners share more of the profits with the ones that actually do the day to day work, and ensure that a large middle class continues to thrive? You see where I'm going with this?
How about welfare for corporations and industry? That is 2/3 of the welfare we pay right there.
