In 2014, nearly $50 billion in pharmaceuticals will be going off patent, according to Bloomberg.
Sanofi (NYSE ADR: SNY), Novartis AG (NYSE ADR: NVS), Roche Holding Ltd. (RHHBY), AstraZeneca PLC (NYSE ADR: AZN), and Eli Lilly & Co. (NYSE: LLY) will all be losing more than $6 billion each in annual revenue this year due to expiring patents.
These large-cap pharmaceutical companies, instead of starting from scratch on a new patent, want an easier and more effective way to replace their lost "cash-cow" revenue. They will look to acquire biotech companies - and their phase II or phase III drugs.
I'm anxious to hear the call. With gold turning up it should be a positive call. When they reinstate the divi the stk price will bounce.
Cramer has mad hand and arm waving antics and a few yrs ago convinced cnbc to have all the announcers schooled in his frantic arm/hand gyrations. They all do it now. If you look at old tapes of the show you won't find them doing what they do now. They look like a bunch of nutty circus barkers now. They all get extremely animated from time to time now. It just adds to the annoyment of watching them. I keep the sound muted just so I can watch the tape. They are all paid shills for the markets.
Your wishful comments are just that.......made up wishes meant to make people feel good. If I were you I'd stop with the no facts pumping. Let's try to deal with facts here.
