abiyoyo, great information, thanks for sharing your "V" experience. Now, if those of us on V had never told anyone else of our experiences and the physiology of what V was doing on a public forum then would you have written what you did? I believe you would, these "mutually exclusive events" (statistical term) proves one thing.... that V works and it works extremely well. How can all of those using V come to the same conclusion? In our own way we are providing our own "Study" based on real science and experience. Shared amongst the many who post here and elsewhere. Like how do you feel when you drink alcohol, red bull etc. the effects are relatively the same for everyone. Just proves that "V" works with no side effects. Now, we wait for blood analysis.
Oaky, thanks Cincy. You know the one aspect of all this is, I'm only providing the symptoms (albeit positive) or observations. The real kicker comes from blood work analysis. These symptoms are just the tip of the iceberg as they say. Things like risk of CVD, lowering of Glucose levels (pre-diabetic), these things are the real deal. Yes, I can feel great all the time. But, where the rubber meet the road is in the final analysis. Does VASCEPA really work? My thoughts and impressions tell me something good is happening to me and there's no side effects whatsoever. My son, who is 33 asks me how I'm doing with VASCEPA and am I still taking it? I can tell he's interested in V and what it's doing for me. He mentioned that I seem younger to whom, fewer wrinkles he says, less stressed out. I went to his house last night and watched a movie with the grandkids, I fell fast asleep, let me tell you that was such a refreshing nap too. I was snoring my son said. After my nap, I was ready to go dumpster diving again. Whereas before, I would get so worn out, I couldn't think straight. Of any of the aspects since being on VASCEPA is I'm getting better rest. Don't ask me why, I'm just thinking that VASCEPA provides something in my metabolism that has been missing. I've never consumed much fish or eaten a lot of fruits and vegetables, mostly meat & potatoes type of guy.
jc: Thanks, good reporting. Yes, all these studies can't prove one way unequivically if High TGs put people at risk. That's hogwash, the gubmint knows, big pharma knows. It's like saying smoking hasn't proven that it causes lung cancer. IMHO and listening to those more learned in the medical field than I that a high ratio of TGs to HDL puts folks at risk. It's like saying that never change your oil in your vehicle as carbon deposits have never shown that they cause engine failure if you never change it. I use this analogy alot when I try to educate folks on what are Triglycerides and how they effect us. I compare TGs to carbon deposits in engine oil, the more you have the higher risk of engine failure. Pretty simple huh? Folks then understand the role TGs play. No, I'll keep taking my Vascepa thank you.
You're a #$%$ too. Amarin was duped and then #$%$ upon by the Big Corporations. They don't want this drug on the market... period.
Who shot Kennedy btw?
Montana: No kidding man.... I get woody's a lot more often now than I used to since taking Vascepa. Seriously and I'm a card carrying Republican. Now, where did I put that Playboy?
Frankly, I'm sick and tired of posters like you. You're really serious aren't you? Don't sit there and tell us your a Card carrying Republican and you believe in Obamacare. I think you're an Ostrich. My insurance premiums went up $130 per month (paying $500) for medical insurance which includes a deductible and you're telling me that's a good thing? I receive letters on my medication from my insurer telling me I along with my doctor need to justify why I need the medications I need? Are you serious? I've never taken one unemployment check in my life. I've worked and paid my fair share for over 50 years. Yeah, I started washing dishes when I was 12. No, I didn't walk to school five miles in the snow, but, GD I'm fed up with you AH's that think Obama is the saviour of this country. On the contrary, he's the worst POS president we've ever had. He gives the office of President a bad name and I'm not proud at all to have him represent my country. Although I try like hell, his message of hope is pointed at whom? Those lazy AH that are third & fourth generation welfare recipients? I know, I've seen them and provided them food and my hard earned tax dollars. So, don't peddle to me you're a true blue American. This isn't America any longer, it's a Socialist state that wants all of your freedoms gone. The Gubmint wants control. Now, if all those welfare recipients go out and get jobs then what?
Answers to your questions:
1. No, I wanted to expedite my issues first with Express Scripts and didn't want to get into a diatribe. Good point however, as my doctor is Indian (no not native American). He is not a pill pusher. Although he was aware of Vascepa or he wouldn't have prescribed it to me unless I was insistent about it, Over the next several visits, I'll make sure to educate him on the adverse effects of the other drugs listed. This will be in a separate FAX. I might even draft another letter and take it to him on my next appointment in 4 months.
2. Yes, The letter was worded such that, Express Scripts was solely looking for justification for anyone prescribed these name brands meds. They weren't concerned about their effects as much as they were about how much it was costing them. Sickly funny don't you think? Now that United Health Care owns Express Scripts (MEDCO), they're more worried about the all mighty dollar vs. peoples health?
As a follow-on in my letter to my PCP, I did include the positive effects that VASCEPA was providing me. The biggest hitters; Energy Levels, better sleep, Libido Torpedo, enhanced mood, memory and mental focus, dry eye relief. I should have added to my list I've had better bowel movements...... I put away my Metamucil... :D)
I say, let the critics rant and rave, VASCEPA will eventually win over people. I have been quite impressed with the script numbers, with half the sales force gone VASCEPA continues to increase scripts. It's only a matter of time. But, the problem is I don't have much left. I figure 5 years oughta do it. Then I can retire and or recoup my losses. That's if
Obamacare doesn't break me first.
Why do I sense Obama Yo Mama care had something to do with this?
Letter from Express Scripts basically says; I need to have my Doctor justify why I'm on a lipid lowering Name Brand drug like VASCEPA and justify why I can't be put on fenofibrates/ gemfibrozil generics. Or risk the possibility of paying 100% out of pocket if this drug is not approved by the reviewing body (whoever that is?). Drugs included in this letter include; Antara, Fenglide, Lipofen, Niacor, Tricor, Triglide (Sounds like a lubricant I used to use), Triliplex, Lovaza, Niaspan ER or Vascepa. Have your doctor call Express Scripts @ 1-817-417-1764.
Well, at least Vascepa goy honorable mention..... :D)
I sent my doctor my justification, more energy, better mood, focused mentally, the large boners, improved sleep, no more dry eyes. To name a few. Hopefully, what I can see happening here is those of us on Vascepa will write to our doctors who will write justifications, who will understand better why we want to stay on Vascepa. It's all about education, if your doctor was or is on the fence, they shouldn't be after recieving your letter and fax.
What? You must write the slogans at a Chinese fortune cookie company? Yes, good news would be all the worthless Excecutives & Directors resigned or maybe Joe could reduce his salary to$1 like Iacocca did back when Chrysler hit $6 per share......to show solidarity, a missing word in todays business world. Only good news we have going right now is increased scripts with half the work force. FDA will pooch us again on the 20th so, what would the exciting news be....hmmmmm?
Yes, I saw the Avandia news last night on Nightly Business Report. How preposterous huh? All of a sudden Avandia gets FDA approval without any adverse side effects for Heart Conditions as previously determined. So, they disapprove a drug that is benign (Vascepa) fior a drug (Avandia) that prior had Cardiovascular side affects where it was taken off the market? This is ludicrous..... for this reason alone the FDA needs to be investigated by a Congressional Subcommittee....
I'm curious as to how they got your name and address?
I received a solicitation as well..from a 5' 7" redhead, 44d, not tonight sweetheart, I have a headache... :D)
Guess what's for dinner? Duck ala Orange'... embarrassing. Goes to show you how jacked College rankings arewwhich equates into billions of $$$ for those school who are favorites year in, year out. Kind of reminds me of the FDA & Big Pharma...
Yes,first things first, ASU needs to get by Arizona, get that Territorial Cup under its belt. Then the PAC 12 Championship Game w/ Standford (Rose Bowl). Get home field advantage (Best Conference record). When they whip up on Stanford.... no surprises this time....plus they'll be playing in ASU Stadium. Wild times ahead.... my son's a bouncer at a Bar in Tempe..(crazy). Hate thinking too far ahead.. Hopefully, if ASU wins both upcoming matchups, and are lucky enough to draw Ohio State that will be sweet revenge. Pay back time (for Coopers Blunder back in 1997?). BTW, I root for all Arizona teams regardless. Too many roots here, all my kids went to different schools. Although deep down I root for ASU, even though I'm an NAU Alum. Been listening to ASU games even before the Joe Spagnola Days early 60's.
Yeah right shorty.... with an approved drug that has increasing sales every week. Are you sure your mother didn't drop you on your head as a baby?
