Hven't you heard? AAPL is a sell on the news stock. Trade was to sell right at the open. Buy back under $520.
We've heard that all year. Broken Record. Buyers come in every time there is a pullback. Perhaps in 2014.
Likely that and the poor earnings report from CHKP. And perhaps the potential for a negative preannouncement in light of that. All an excuse to sell. Just keep buying all the way to $40. Buying high growth rarely gets this cheap. One of the few growth stocks trading at the bottom of it's range.
This stock is being controlled by institutions. Manipulation is too strong a word. Volume is way too low. They want weak handed investors and traders to sell this at the IPO price of $42 so they just sell a small amount of their own shares. They may even take it below $42 to scare people into selling. Don't get sucked in! Happens all the time with low liquidity stocks. Keep buying as it goes lower. Then when it pops on consecutive days, get out for a nice profit. Stocks like these have to be traded.
Thanks for the cheaper prices!
It's just the way the bottoming process happens. Institutions typically don't pile in until the re-test of the recent lows occurs and the MACD goes positive.
Sellers will try coming in as usual but they may be surprised that it doesn't go down like it has the last several weeks.
I'm sure you shorted at the open thinking it would do the same as $NFLX and you're already under water.
This stock always has a 2-3 day run so hold on until that happens before you sell. Once the buying starts, the shorts cover in a hurry and squeeze the stock higher.
