"Oil is going to low 80s and TPLM is going to the 8's. Then and only then do you pounce on it"
And, of course, you knew that in June, huh?
"Appears to have found support at $9.50. Low volume with support above $9.50 would indicate very little selling interest remaining."
There goes that thought.....
I was soo hoping you were right. These days, I'll take anything encouraging.
Well, maybe we'll close above $9.50..
The only positive take on this downward trend- -excuse me, huge downward trend- -is that it's sector and not stock related.
Of course, JMO......
Disclosure: I've put heavy duty locks on all my windows and thrown away the keys to same.....Wait a minute! I live on the ground floor!!
"bought PVA at 11.63
also bought CPE this morning"
Guess you should have waited on both of them. My condolences are extended to you.
Actually, I also extend condolences to myself and others who are hanging in there.
" They can blame this and that but the reality is is that this game is rigged and is truly a PONZI scheme"
Yet you continue to play "this game," don't you? lol
"Penn Virginia Corporation (PVA) today announced that it will release its third quarter 2014 results after the market closes on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 and hold a conference call / webcast on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. ET. You cannot imagine how great this board looks after placing the shorts/bashers on ignore!
Please don't respond to them! What value is there in doing so?? Just put them on ignore.
I'd like to thank you for being so transparent. By doing so, you made my decision making very easy.
You're on 'ignore'..........
"I am afraid that the only thing this CEO can say that will lift the stock is that he has sold the company."
Is this the only oil stock you have a position in? If your answer is no, then you must be aware that the entire sector has been taking a beating. Almost everything in the sector is RED, pal! Take your blinders off!!
If you're so unhappy, SELL! This way, you can do your whining on another message board.
In times such as this, the best thing to do is just log off and stay away until there's a reversal. Of course, prior to doing so, you (general) need to be in a comfort zone with your holdings. Respecting TPLM, my comfort zone couldn't be better.
"Selling the Eagleford Ford acreage to PVA produced a short term lift in price......"
True.......And it was that sale that pushed PVA from a SP in the 4's at the time to where it is now (13.17) on a bad sector day.
My regret was not scooping up PVA on the cheap at the time.
So you went from a 'strong buy' on 9/8 to a 'hold' on 9/16????
"One of the states that was hit the hardest by last winter's "Polar Vortex" is already under several inches of snow.
Some South Dakota towns have been hit by the earliest winter storm in more than 120 years. The town of Custer has received eight inches and Mount Rushmore is under seven freezing inches.
Rapid City has as much as two inches of the fluffy white stuff, according to the Argus Leader. This is the earliest snowfall Rapid City has received since 1888.
The previous earliest snowfall in the city was seven-tenths of an inch on September 13, 1970.
Other locations reporting snow include Hill City (4.5 inches) and Sundance, Wyoming (home to the Sundance Film Festival in the summer and four inches of snow this week)."
So shortly after the open we're almost immediately taken down to 13.06. It's not 10:30 yet and we've been up as hight as 13.82. And on pretty decent volume, too.
Yeah, and there are those who will take it to their grave that the market's not rigged. This is too funny!
BTW, we're now back down to 16.64. Yep, the market is a safe place to invest your money. lol
"Bad time for a great quarter. Oil is really weak so the big guys are not buying."
Are you in a rush? From my perspective, this is a gem. I'm not surprised by today's action. As far as I'm concerned, if the sp retraces to a level I'm comfortable with I'll add on.
Right now, I'm just sitting back, watching the show, and feeling safe.
"Triangle Petroleum reports EPS in-line, beats on revs (TPLM) : Reports Q2 (Jul) GAAP earnings of $0.15 per share, in-line with the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $0.15; revenues rose 181.8% year/year to $141.99 mln vs the $121.18 mln consensus."
Have a good evening.....
