It takes months and months sometimes years to get opportunities like this. I was lucky I was at the right place at the right time. Will buy another thousand shares when the next dip happens for my retirement account
I have 10k shares...I'm only going to buy 5k more before I retire my liquid money is making money as well...dnp is one of my fav though
dnp is still selling at an~prem. of 12% I read someone has 10-20k shares and receives a nice monthly check. This is stock is exactly suited for this type of investor..you won't get rich with capital gains but will make a nice living with its div. buy on the dips and forget the price swings these guys have been managing dnp for over 25 yrs rock solid and belongs in everyones retirement portfolio...the div is st at .065/share/mo whether its 8-9- or 10 buy when the nav is close to par if you can
I own DNP and will acquire ~10k shares of it over the next yr or so depending on share price action my question to the board is any suggestions on other stocks/cef's/etf's similar to DNP with similar div and has been around for over 20 yrs again like DNP??thanks in advance
May I add a note...I sold 4000 shares in 2008 but owned this stock for over 12 years......look at the charts since its inception...its really been there for its investors.Yes the stock may go down with rising interest rates but THATS when you should cost average in...put limit orders in like I am .my aim is to acquire 10000 share for a portion of my retirement portfolio and use the monthly div. to feed my needs...
in looking over my schwab account i noticed paa went ex-div yesterday i own 480 shares so my account showed a loss of almost 300.00 secondary to share (price)loss...the pay date is in afew weeks...so my question is : with thousands of outstanding shares ,each share will recieve a div. what does paa do with all our money for 2-3 weeks is this legal or even right?
