Til now you are absolutely correct.
Giant Dope,
Ochs
The conference is scheduled for August 27 in Chicago and TranSwitch is again a presenter. Not surprisingly, TXCC has the smallest market cap. We don't need it to get any smaller.
Ochs
altrfan,
No arguments, just one question. How did you know I was "old"? :-)
Ochs
flex,
Though we often disagree, you, fan, and I are all long TranSwitch. Let us hope it proves to be a great investing decision. Once again, I realize hope is not a strategy.
Ochs
altrfan ole buddy,
The only person I ever heard put a number on the patents was Ted Chung and he was shown the door. Ali did say he expected the patents to sell in 2012, which of course they didn't. As for pointing out cash burn, check the transcript of the Q4 2011 conference call, I asked Ali about cash burn then and that was over 16 months ago. Regarding dilution, Ali did say repeatedly that he was sensitive to share dilution, but when telecom revenues tanked, patent sales failed to materialize, and they ended up violating the loan covenants with Bridge Bank, they simply had no choice. I certainly didn't like it either as we went from around 37 million shares to 45 million with an additional 4 million to come in the $.58 warrants.
Acting (but not being one) a Shill,
Ochs
It would be great if the prospects for the telecom business warrant keeping the patents. Stranger things have happened.
Ochs
flex,
Sounds like you were a CTLM holder. Didn't they buy them for their VOIP technology? I don't think that has worked out well for either party.
Ochs
music,
If and when they get delisted, the message board will be reconstitued as TXCCD. All the regulars will be here.
Ochs
altrfan,
Frankly, I don't care what you think of Ali and yes he certainly has made mistakes. Whether you could have done bettter with the information he had to work with at the times he made those statements is moot. What I objected to and stated clearly was you calling me a shill. That is simply not true.
No Boo Hoo Hoo Here Big Boy,
Ochs
flexible,
You have a point, but I have seen too many instances where the sharks come out when they smell blood in the water. Let's hope it doesn't come to that and no, I am not a lawyer.
This coming week should be interesting. GL.
Ochs
As zuperzee implied koomar, you are the "no brainer" big spender.
Ochs
As a confirmed long and an alleged pumper, it is difficulty to find a silver lining when the weather is this stormy, but I will give it a try. 619K shares traded today and that is only 1.38% of the outstanding shares ahead of what is forecast to be an immediate delisting. That tells me that either there is no panic among investors or that they are so depressed by events they simply don't care anymore. For the last year, we have known this would be a second half of the year story (admittedly there has been some slippage), so we are on the threshold of that period. GLTA and have a good weekend. Next week could be quite eventful.
Ochs
wsill,
I know the fat lady has been warming up for a few years, but I don't think it is time for her to sing yet. I think Auld Lang Syne at midnight 31 December is more likely than in the next few months.
Ochs
flexible,
I guess we will have to agree to disagree.
Ochs
altrfan and niles,
You guys are right. What do you think the chances are of Ali hitting his target of $20 million in HD product sales for 2013?
Ochs
anil,
I think I have enough stock and I never pretended to know enough to run the company. I have followed the company for the last six years. I have listened to every conference call and virtually every presentation.in those six years. I have no illusions concerning TranSwitch, it is simply that I believe what Dr. Ali says and in the new strategic direction TranSwitch has taken under his leadership. I could absolutely be wrong about my assessment of Dr. Ali's integrity as a leader, just as Dr. Ali could have been completely wrong about the viability of TranSwitch's video connectivity products, but I have decided the potential reward is worth the considerable risk. Quite simple, really. Have a good evening.
Ochs
Dollar volume traded today at closing price was $58,191. Barely enough for a decent new car. Wake me up in three or four months.
Ochs
desai,
Obviously I am crazy long TranSwitch, but imo the longer the NASDAQ goes without delisting the stock, the greater the chances are for a positive outcome. They need to get the stock price a whole lot higher than a buck if they expect to attract institutional investors. Currently , less than 15% of the stock is owned by institutions.
Ochs
There has been no word from the NASDAQ on the delisting, which is strange to me. One can only assume that management has appealed the delisting and is making their case with projections/plans that are not currently public information. Whether this is good or bad is hard to say, but at least the axe hasn't fallen yet.
Ochs
reed1v,
How does a big reverse split wipe out most small investors? Unfortunately, I have been through several of them and, while my share count declined by the r/s factor, I still owned the same percentage of the company after the r/s. Explain please.
