  • To replace PwC, NQ chose Marcum Bernstein Pinchuk LLP. Some consider Drew Bernstein to be one of the world’s greatest fraud auditors. Bernstein has faced off with Block before, regarding Orient Paper in 2010. Block’s firm accused the paper maker of overstating its revenue in the two years before. At that time, Bernstein was chairman of Orient Paper’s audit committee.

Back in November, Bloomberg reported that some “experts” said Block was right to focus on the length of time it takes to collect payments from customers. They backed him up, calling a long period of time to collect payments a glaring red flag for fraud.

However, Bernstein apparently doesn’t agree, suggesting that he might be more likely to side with NQ than PwC was after its investigation. In that same article, he defended the length of time it takes for NQ Mobile to see payments from customers. He told Bloomberg that it just takes longer for bigger customers to make their payments. He said he’s seen some Chinese companies take up to two years to pay. At the time of that story, Bernstein said he had met with NQ Mobile previously but that the company hadn’t retained his firm. Of course that’s changed now.

This how the theory goes. This last drop from the last few days is not from the shorts, it is from the longs ( fund managers not wanting to show terrible underperforming assets at the end of the quarter ) that is what it was all about. They had to do it they had no choice that is a standard procedure for underperforming assets and this is one of them. Management has made it clear that the listing is secure and they have asked the NYC to be patient with them. The good news is that most will buy back their shares back as well new fund managers will enter a position.
The bad news is that most retail is out now because the panic and using sell stop orders thinking that something was wrong instead of buying more.
The good news is that the selling should be over, there is one trading day on the quarter and if we get lucky we will get a chance to buy under 6 one last time. Once again this latest round had nothing to do with the shorts.

July 27th PDUFA for ACRX great data very high probability of getting approved. Analysts calling for 80% chance for Morphine having a real competitor.

  • Using creative-disgusting tactics all under the so called watchful eye of the SEC which appears to not know anything about it. We all know this is planned by the by same perpetrators and their friends so they can cover, and that it happens everyday to different companies, very unfortunate situation for retail investors.
Much of the blame should be at the SEC they know about it and they are likely bought out or paid under under the table as usual. Use care and don't use sale stop orders in situations like this, remember we are on our own and good luck to all of us retail.

Pentech, thanks for your concern about us longs losing money. I will sell first thing tomorrow in pre-market you go ahead and short some shares and capitalize on Zalviso's failure.

Mike, think that your presence on some of these boards intimidate many longs that are not familiar with you and don' t know how to react to the things you say and the way you say them. I know you are just making fun of the way some of these posters respond to you, but I think it would be a good idea to just identify yourself with this board so people know exactly who you really are and who they are dealing with.

If you are so comfortable Why don't you short it all the way down? Some of us believe in the upside and you in the downside this is what makes the market. Does it not? This is nothing more than a technical move clearing all sale stops.
Now, if you were Tanghas Khan the # 1 retail short expert then I would be very worried. On the other hand just by looking at your alias (ID) I can tell that you come here with an agenda and no research whatsoever would not be surprised if you are a paid basher working for a hedge fund.

  • Q the Raven works for Citron Research and Muddy writing lame stuff that they tell him what to say. Do you want proof? Check his latest nonsense with QCOR and how it played out.
