That would entirely depend on what price you shorted ZNGA. Yes, it would be foolhardy to take a short position right now, not that ZNGA cannot disappear entirely from the scene. At this point, there are just better short prospects out there. Facebook comes immediately to mind. The bloodletting at ZNGA, absent an accounting scandal, is over for the time being. I also see no point at going long except as a day trade. The structural problems at ZNGA remain enormous. You can start with the 1600 idlers on the payroll.

  • I wasn't sure if you wanted that private area shaven or like the Black Forest, so I purchased both models. You must remember not to blow "Suzie Wong" (or is it Billy?) up to pressure exceeding 32 psi, or a massive explosion might result. In the fit of excitement, I do know how you can get all worked up into a lather and forget about simple instructions. You can consider this a little Valentine's gift, and I do realize you get lonely in your Mom's apartment in Philadelphia. Maybe some of these ZNGA games, along with Suzie Wong, will help with the alienation. I wish you all things good.
    Yours,

I did very much enjoy your piece. When we lose our sense of humor over something of relative insignificance like the stock market, what is left? Show me what is inside of you, not your wallet, and this is especially true with the fair sex, and even those of amorphous sexual persuasion like arbuorplace.

  • Try the Forest Hill Bridge over the Golden Gate as the former is much higher, 730 feet versus the Golden Gate's piddly 225 feet. I know the Forest Hill area quite well. I mapped for the US Forest Service there in my youth. That's another one of my pet obsessions. I collect maps. Any traveler loves maps. Too bad AAA discontinued all their highly detailed large scale maps--perfect for bicyclists and hikers. The entire AAA cartography program, formerly at Van Ness and Market Streets, was shut down, and the collection of priceless maps was bequeathed to Stanford University, and Stanford doesn't want to share them. I hold you touchscreen kids personally responsible for that sin as well. GPS screens are totally lacking in terms of a broad overview, and that's exactly what is missing in our society at large. A sense of perspective.

I have mentioned my interest in the barbarous (and mostly despised) relics here on this board several times. Pure physical silver interests me the most if you have a good place to store it. The precious metals are also signaling a crash in equities. Longer term for anyone with a five year horizon, problems with the US dollar will send the metals into the stratosphere. This nation carries astronomical debt which can never be repaid.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Many consider the shorting of a stock an ignoble pursuit--somehow against the American flag and apple pie--but today's ZNGA price action perfectly illustrates the very useful function of short covering. It tends to stabilize, though only for a brief period, a stock which is in deep trouble, and ZNGA is certainly a stock on the edge of an abyss. Recall that in order to clear a short position, the stock must be purchased, and thus create demand, albeit artificial demand, for the shares. Without short covering, ZNGA shares would presently be much lower. So, thank the shorts for preventing a catastrophic decline, which comes anyway, just not today.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • I only mention this because I still have a rather large stash of skunk weed given to me by some whitewater rafting pals from Humboldt County. I remain ever the generous humanist, and I do feel for your pain from the unfortunate ownership of this pink sheet rubbish. Just go to Yahoo mail and leave your contact info. The package will be hermetically sealed so you don't get busted by the narcs at the post office. I feel certain you need some form of escape from certain harsh realities. Such are the pitfalls of a touchscreen state of mind.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Dear Delusional ZNGA Longs: I suppose after today's rather severe spanking, you will need a triple shot of that stuff. I myself remain ever so steady on the wagon with clear mind. If you wish to bottom fish this garbage stock, it is an interesting day trade, but nothing more. Thus, you must be extremely adept with the sell button. ZNGA's business model is a complete and utter failure, and large layoffs are not a question of if, but when. Over a wider measurement of time--once the much touted cash assets are fully expended-- ZNGA will be no more. Boy Pinky will bleed $50 million here, and another $50 million there. Do you seriously think he ever put the $200 million he already (fraudulently) extracted from this joke back into the stock? Hell no!

Summary: You will know them by their actions, not their words.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Should 50 million shares or more attempt to escape this travesty, we then encounter major liquidity problems, the exact dilemma faced by the junk bond market. If you think ZNGA's "earnings" report was horrid, keep in mind that highly creative accounting is in use. The real truth is much worse. Now tell me, when do the layoff announcements come at the ZNGA Brain Trust? Those pathetic techies might eventually have to do some real work. This beer pong game is over.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Thus, it has come to pass, and scripture has been fulfilled. The prophet and visionary now anticipates that the major averages are next to falter. I have never in my many decades long career seen greater shorting opportunities, and this includes 2008. How man of you were around for the Crash of 1987? I remember it like yesterday. That's how quickly time passes. We are but a moment's sunrise. Short the SPY now or be left in the dust. An intriguing individual short candidate would be Farcebook. We remain very much in crash territory. Thus sprach Zngathustra

Summary: The devil is always found in the details. Anyone remember Arthur Andersen?

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Do you seriously believe this sham of a company will be able to post a profit this afternoon, even with highly creative accounting gimmicks-- a la booking future revenue as current? Hell no! Don't forget there are 1600 highly compensated and pampered techies who do Lord knows what on any given "work" day, except eat free meals in the company gourmet restaurant. This is not complex math. Simply subtract the real cost of operations from the dwindling revenue. Yes Boys and Girls, it's a negative integer. OK, you have plan B. Let's celebrate that the losses aren't as bad as anticipated. You've been pulling that rabbit out of a hat since ZNGA went public. None of this is sustainable, so why don't we just put the dog ZNGA out of its pain with a bullet through the head just as the S.P.C.A. recommends. Or is it the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Shareholders?

Yours is excellent analysis, and quite rare on this board.

  • Wouldn't you know it? Just as soon as the ZNGA Brain Trust broke 200 pennies, the Shanghai vixen (with ever so substantial cleavage by the way) is flooding my vintage Samsung flip phone with endless calls. It's to the point where my message box is jammed full with her once again talking dirty to me in Cantonese. Of course, the almond eyed siren and grand manipulator knows my weak points. She is also fully aware of the sudden acceleration of the ZNGA death spiral and my huge windfall profits. If I could only find a woman to love me for my mind and my muscular quads, but not my thick wallet. I'm in serious need of advice from the message board members here. I'm at wit's end at might even lend an ear to arbourplace. That's how desperate I am. Though China Girl does have a long standing fetish for the black stallions in Oakland, her attributes are still numerous. She is completely capable of the ever illusive trifecta, meaning no holes barred. There is certainly something to be said for that. I remain open to all suggestions. Thanks for any help.

It actually makes more sense at this juncture to move on and target Facebook, another absurdly overvalued stock. The caveat is that FB is a much more complex and diversified enterprise, so the chances of a nasty miscalculation are infinitely greater than for this rubbish know as ZNGA. Suffice to say, I might not really fully grasp the full scope of FB's potential. In my gut, I feel it is another great shorting candidate, but the gut, though I go with it often enough, is not rational, but rather instinctual. Herein rests a major problem. I am psychologically attached to the ZNGA message board. It has become my daily diary of sorts over the years. You might call it an OCD obsession of the highest order.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • That can be verified with some Herculean effort by delving through my daily missives back several years. You may feel like you are reading Marcel Proust's rather thick volume, "Remembrance of Things Past." The present is beginning to look quite ugly. Karma Yoga is being fulfilled.

  • Will it be $1.99 or delisting from the Nasdaq? This is what happens when you follow the path of Lucifer, and how well I know. The devil still whispers in my ear on a daily basis, but I fight back. "Be gone vile imp, and I will have none your virtual realities! I'm shorting more blocks of ZNGA, just as God instructed me." I have made every attempt to save lost souls on this message board, and share my wealth of knowledge. Alas, it all fell on deaf ears. Now you grasp the wrath of God. You have one last chance. Either convert immediately to Roman Catholicism, or as Option II, you may become a bible thumping Baptist. Mormonism is not an option.

Corruption aside, I have absolute respect for the the hebs. There is not a single area of learning where they are not at the very top, whether it be music, science, literature, film, and of course, finance. Call them anything but never stupid. They have an impulsive draw towards learning and higher education, and never allow something as mundane as alcoholism thwart the final goal. I had a few problems with the latter, so I do not measure up to their obvious achievements.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • That's just one of the benefits of being a member of the Chosen People. I suspect the syndicate is already out of this rubbish. Guess who owns those shares now? You do.
