Is this crash-and-burn turkey SO BAD that stktrader finally gave up trying to educate the clueless bagholders?? And did amtea finally sellout and move on?? LOL
Aw, come on!! GLUU gets a TRIPLE WHAMMY with the Tencent stake, Britney Spears and earnings beat, yet the stock can't break thru $7!! Tell me, pumpers. What gives??
I just might have to lower my sell limit order next week. LOL
I certainly have to praise de Masi for tying together all the bullish announcements with a good earnings report. Well done, for once!!
That said, I entered a GTC order to sell my GLUU shares @ $7.50 and my GLUU $3.50 Jun-15 calls @ $4.00. I'll gladly take my money and buy back in late June @ sub-$6. My guess is GLUU won't get that high over the next week or so but we'll see. To all who think I was short, think again. LOL
Well, then WHY pump GLUU when it's up if you don't know WHY it's up or even if it's staying up?? Inquiring minds want to know what makes a pumper tick. LOL
Man, these pumpers are now quiet as church mice!! No words of wisdom for the Kool-Aid crowd?? LOL
So much for that so-called "short covering" rally!! Looks like the longs couldn't keep levitating GLUU any longer and the shorts have taken back control. Hopefully, de Masi has a good earnings report coming but it doesn't look promising now.
BTW -- This "chinaman" ID must be newly created by "dude" who has admitted to using multiple IDs. LOL
Where, oh, where are the rabid GLUU pumpers NOW??!! We need your priceless "words of wisdom"!! LOL
GLUU is now tanking on BIG volume after the initial pop. It's pretty obvious that there's some negative news that's not public yet. It looks like the shorts are piling on again. Just when you think GLUU might be getting it together, these guys #$%$ defeat from the jaws of victory!! LOL
chester: Your analysis is flawed because of your arbitrary starting date. If you want to "cherry pick" starting dates, let's use Jun-08 OR Jul-11 OR Jul-12 OR Jul-14. Any investor buying GLUU at those times would now be LOSING money or at best breakeven. In fact, GLUU has been an extremely volatile stock. Therefore, your analysis only holds up for arbitrary holding periods.
Bottom line, the historical facts show that GLUU's stock price has correlated extremely well with "hit" game revenues, especially true for 2013 and 2014. That's undeniable not matter how you may want to skirt around the issue.
BTW -- I've done three round trips in GLUU since late 2012 and actually bought some at the low of $2 in Feb-13. My peak position was 95,000 shares in mid-2013. Since recent earnings in early Feb, I'm now down to 5000 shares. I also held 100 $3.50 Jun-15 calls bought in early Jan. I sold 80 of the calls over the last week for a double+. I think GLUU has the potential for big upside after more games are released later in the year but the next couple of months will likely be lackluster. IMO
Anyway, I'm going to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Good luck to you!
LOL -- I stand by my analysis. The stock price has been shown to be highly correlated with "hit" game revenues which proves my thesis! You are in denial, my friend. Your reference to the recent GLUU rally is simply a bounce off an extremely oversold position. In NO way does it invalidate the highly correlated moves of the last two years. None are so blind as those who will not see.
BTW -- Your so-called "steady increase for the last 2-3 years" in reality has been a wild ride for longs who failed to trade the stock. I've been trading GLUU since late 2012. How long have you been in the stock?
chester: GLUU was extremely oversold @ $3.27 after tanking from $7.60 and the remaining shorts had clearly overplayed their hand. Therefore, the earnings beat was powerful enough to rally the stock back over $5 but NOT back to $7+.
Simply check out the GLUU chart from Sep 13 to Dec 14 and compare that to the rise and fall of revenues from DH14 and KKH. The correlation is remarkable. I rest my case.
You have it WRONG!! GLUU does NOT trade "on what's expected to happen in 6 months". Never has and never will. Simply observing the correlation of the stock price with the hit games DH14 and KKH clearly illustrates the GLUU trading cycle...
1) As new "hit" game revenues ramp up, the stock rallies.
2) Stock peaks near game revenue peaks.
3) Traders and shorts begin to sell as game revenues peak and then rollover.
Bottom line, the market will never value GLUU on "future expectations". Why?? Because game popularity and resulting revenues are totally unknowable until they are released. That's also why the signing of celebrities has virtually no impact on the stock price. Once GLUU pumpers understand these simple concepts, they won't make foolish and amateurish comments and predictions about the future sp.
