Fast Money was very pro Arena. One host said he could see it tripling from $6. Another said $60. BTW, Cramer is not one of the hosts on Fast Money.
The airing ranking has improved another 60 points in the last 24 hours. Considering that this is a 30 day average, Eisai is really hitting the ads this month. I'm looking forward to Monday.
The defendant in the case I was involved with dropped their appeal. I would expect Takeda to fight to the bitter end.
I don't know the specifics of this case, but I was part of a large lawsuit and the defendant was required to put the money in escrow while they appealed or pay fines and interest if they didn't. It was one of the reasons that they ultimately dropped their appeal.
Been seeing them regularly now. ispot airing ranking improved by 30 points in the last 3 days
Don't miss out
My girl saw the ad twice last night and I saw it today when I was eating lunch
A thumbs down within 1 minute. Might be a new all-time record! Someone is working overtime on Sunday.
Soft bash alert!!! They are already on track to make at least 100 mill in calendar year 2014. Read Spencer's articles if you need proof. For commercial year 2014 that number will be higher since it starts 6 months later with a base of 10k+ scripts a week. Will it break 250 mill this commercial year? Probably not, but that is OK. We have plenty of money and partnering potential, and will not need to dilute, even under the worse case scenarios. Looking forward, any of a number of events can cause an inflection point to sales. Relaunch, more sales reps, more coverage, Obesity act of 2013, Belphen results, smoking, pipeline, etc. Arena's future is very bright. It's always OK to question an investment, but anyone that panics here and sells, will be kicking themselves for the rest of their life. Way, way too much upside potential.
Eli Lilly paid for the research. So, if there was a nomination fee, (and I have trouble believing anything you write) then you can thank Eli Lilly for paying it.
Even if what Jairy said was true. (and it isn't) Arena would not go BK. Arena has another $100 million cash that is not on the books yet. They will also likely partner some of their trials like they did with Ildong to get someone else to pay for it. Arena will be just fine even if sales for Belviq don't pick up or grow snail slow. Unlike VVUS, the money that Arena is spending is to advance their pipeline and create shareholder value. At any time Arena could reduce costs by putting projects on hold or selling them. In a worst case scenario Arena could fire all the employees and just collect checks from Eisai.
It may not be immediately obvious to some, but this is a big deal. There is a reason that shorts have been cover since the first of the year. The fact that Belviq has been shown to reduce a prediabetic's chance of getting diabetes regardless of weight loss will make it a standard of care for millions. Dr. Elmquist has shown the pathway and why it is that Belviq is able to do this. At this point its just a matter of time for it to be accepted by docters and insurnace, but it will happen.
