    Time Before Runup To Dividend

    by oldpro2old Apr 15, 2016 10:53 AM

I've watched RDS thru times you mention and know how volatile it can be, but at the same time have kept moving with it and overall has been a very good investment. For one to think in startup mode, it ain't for those who want to hit the big one over night and make a mint by any stretch of imagination though. I made a living working for them when jobs and money were hard to come by and still feel thanks to them for the chance.
Inflation is a government word that really means living beyond ones needs and since WWII has been used to get votes and has now caught up with us bigtime. We've become educated beyond our intelligence and now in greed mode! God bless America & best to all!

Does mini-pullback mean one day or more? Since this close to X day may be time to buy? L2A

  • Jumped out too soon but have feeling we're in dividend run and considering re-entering, anyone else have this feeling? Best to all.

Sad for many involved, but that's the system we have come to accept in a world of what's in it for me. I feel for those who must hit the street (no pun intended) who don't have it made and be able to play the market.
I've seen this world make a fool of many.

sorry to hear that for all workers, Obama and other politicians put out a lot of hot air of how good the economy is and are 'gonna make more good jobs but nothing but hot air! I suppose we will be sorry for staying in RDS waiting for $51also.. Best to all.

I got mine on line a number of weeks ago and got 1099's in mail too, so I believe you need to call.
Hope all is well with you all, otherwise.

After reading Marfl and retiredguru's latest posts, I feel as if I've been sitting at the back of the bus asleep and not listening to the driver announce departure points and then wake up to realize I missed mine miles back. I respect their views and thank them for the forthought and expertise they provide for me to make my decision.
I wonder if RDS and major oil players are not already going forward and ready to take off since I noticed the news of Obama's no more driling and Supreme Court appointee announcement that should help his legacy in history and might be political death to oppose.
It seems the BG effect has subsided but I'm still waiting for an entry point that seems reasonable.
    Best to all.

The nature of politics nowdays is hard to determine, our system of education divides those that are most gullible to the winds of change, the young who have more than those before them and expect more, and who think government should solve any problem they can write a theisis on...thus the $19trilllion and rising
deficit...and votes are more important than integrity...Until Trump can make a case beside "lieing about birth certificates", and Hillary has no real values except being female, I know I won't waste my vote for either of them...I have but one vote and really not sure it it counts anymore...

    Pullback, What Does Ray Say?

It is still hard to tell which direction to go, gasoline up 25+ cents a gallon here with not much movement in stock or oil price price, maybe jumping the gun on driving season? I hope to not wait too long to get back in. I depend on marfl because I know he reads the charts well, along with others at times too. Marfl has been right so many times.

marfl, I believe Fidelity wants us to use computer to make our own trades but they try to make lke we're restricted. Ask them what the restrictions are and they really don't have an answer, they want to handle our money and tell us where to invest it. Tell them next time you'll check with RDS about what the restricctions are and they'll let do whatever you want to do, unless there is a draw processing. Best to you.

    Crude up

Is this a blip or is $38. RDSA in the rearview mirrow, seems to be the question now, and I feel so unsure about investing, I'm waiting to hear from marfl when he sees it in charts from the manipulators, I suppose. RDSA has been hanging tight, does everyone have a feeling to hold until Trump is inaugurated? I hope to hear what he proposes to make America great and keep hopeing it won't be another 20,000 pages it will take 20 years to know what he means. Best to all and don't forget to vote today, the hopes seem slim but everyone should have the same chance, about a million to one, with a casino on every corner.

  • Did it payoff? It was spposed to be as revolutionary as sliced bread but seems to have been short lived. Maybe RDS will derive some leverage from the experience and move forward in alternative energy like Solar that has quietly made great strides for some time now. Best to all, the ride may get better.

zero, ain't it amazing? Oil up yesterday and CVX up $2.32, RDA was up almost a oil up and CVX down a buck or so and RDSA following. It appears if we had no bad luck we'd have no luck at all.
If only we could just find out who controls the market...We have someone who said he's a good man and loves everyone except Rubio Cruz from Canada or Cuba, and is willing to roll the dice and make America great again, so tallio pep pep. Enjoy your check, there's more to come!

marfl, if you sell on 16th you won't get dividend because whoever owns at opening of X day is the one that gets it. We don't always hold for dividend because sometimes it goes down more than dividend. Check out.

Crude prices fell after such a good beginning but RDS held on to a good gain in spite of it all. Can it get any wilder with BG buy? The old analysts may become unbeleiving in theirselves at this rate.
Best to you a being the steading influence in times like these...
