Thanks guru, I suppose oneway has their own interpretation. The overall report is not as bad as it may seem to many, but to defer some plans going forward is a good move by RDS. Thanks for your input.
I'm in awe how dividend can be looked at as a positive this time around unless one is determined to stay put and afraid to do anything else, it's all too risky for anyone else. OPEC put us over the barrel and won't let us go it seems, so much for one world market. Best to all.
nothing like enthusiasm and at a time we need it but there are so many if's. They were making it at $4. at one time and will find a way in time to do it again. Best to all.
I do not regularly try to read charts anymore, I look to rmarfl and retiredguru and friends on the board to provide honest expertise and blame no one but myself when I make a wrong move. I try not to offer advise anymore but like to read what others share and remain active in my old age which now has reached around 500 in dog years.
zerO, I fall close within your range unless the whole market is in a correction mode, RDS might go to $50. so I hope to have some left to invest and sell some as it rises and try not to be too greedy until things return to reasonable level. All the time weighing the thoughts of others and marfl reads, since I no longer feel capable to do charting because there are so many different. Best to all and thanks to all.
right on marfl, it's good to have you interpret the different charts that the rest of us can't, won't and don't keep up on and it's a needed asset for us. I thank you for all the effort you put into it.
If you want to leadt humbly speak up to help others not as fortunate as you may be. I'm always thankful for a solid lead and can use all the help I can get. Thanks to all and Merry Christmas.
I have been in many years and lost over and over like you say, I'n not sure I have any shares left but it's not enough to intice me to buy anymore even if they paid a dividend. I just visit the board ocassionally and can find more than what Harken puts out and just look at it that I lost it all. It's obvious very few shares are traded anymore. Best to us long suffering share holders, if we have any left.
Christmas rally better late than never, why it happens this time hard to understand but for us that have some shares hung up it helps. I have dry powder but too unsure when to use it.
Left small amount RDS bought at $72. thinking long range but wish I'd sold all if I'd listened more closely and I will in the future I hope. No big loss so keep up the good work.
I wish I had a hint I've been here so many times before but head fake is a familiar term and Santa Claus' bag seems empty. Marfl is looking for a thread of hope and I hope he will respond soon.
Thanks zero, at this stage I'm looking for condolences or sympathy for having to delay the Christmas trip we had planned for, but maybe next year if I last to another year from the strain of it all. Seriously, we never know for sure what tomorrow holds but faith will eventually carry us thru. I've been thru and seen a lot of this before, it ain't my first rodeo. RDS has been a good trading stock and it may not be hard for it to beat this years last quarter next year as Walstreet goes. Maybe I can use this years dividend money for next year at Christmas. Best to you.
Since no merger or buy out of BP has happened yet, they took the gain all back it appears.
Glad to have a Hollander aboard and thanks for your input. Best to you.
sander, Did they post the target price, just wondering if they think it's higher by end of month or next while. I've heard a lot of ideas but not sure what we may look for in future and of course they may not either but it could boost the moral if it sounds good. Thanks and best to you
A mystery CVX & RDS down, most other oils up? It sometimes seems all oils run along together and then other times just don't. A Wallstreet thing that keeps us guessing it seems. Best to all.
Traders (whoever they are) are talking a possible takeover of BP, it says under recent news on Yahoo.
Amazing how RDS and BP both up on that rumor, it seems RDS would be down, so it's leery.
I hope the recovery continues, it doesn't seem possible oil stocks can't find a way to make money but could when oil was going wild looking for $30. a barrel and RDS was worth over $200. a share.
Oil should be needed a needed commodity in the future even if solar runs the home. I doubt if mechanical friction can be totally eliminated. Best to all
...and now the rest of the story, are you saying brent will go to $68 or lower since it's around $70.+ now...
For today looks like a better day so far for stocks and oil price. I have no ideas as to what the future holds but I thank everyone for their's. Best to all you friends on this board.
One common 'tater that makes a comment means a comment has been made that could be right or could be not exactly right, they are never wrong. Aw, just a tongue in cheek comment but it would make it easier for RDS to advance than decline farther if the Sadis' would cut production. At some point I would like to see a meeting of minds that would benefit all but in a world of greed it's not likely.
I do want to thank all on this board for your comments with helping others as your goal, it helps to keep my thought process active that has been slowed due to two things: #1. age....and I can't remember the other one.
Best to all.
