Saudis will make many enemies if they go too far unilaterally. They will prove a point, but not drive their friends into turmoil.

    1) Everybody is pumping balls out, except that's not true... production cuts are being implemented.
    2) Demand down, except that's not true... the forecast for lower demand is already made, but reality is more oil will be used at these lower prices
    3) The target price has been achieved of curtailing shale and curtailing many rogue states (Russia, Iran and Venezuela, etc) The Saudi's and the rest aren't suicidal despite certain comments. When the Saudi's say market forces will stabilize, they actually mean them in the driver's seat
    4) Obama supports the oil sweet spot. The administration likes the benefits of lower oil but not oil so low it kills alternative energy or creates a world wide economic crisis among allies
    5) The Kuwaiti's tipped off the market that $65 is the target price for a few months and then higher.
    6) National Oil Reserves in several nations are primed to "fill'r up"
    7) No more drivers on the table to push lower, only pent up drivers that can push it up. You'll hear the "stability" buzzword regularly soon. Stabilize the floor... market stability...

Wrap this truth around your head and then stick it in your pipe and smoke it.
SHLD will make more money than AMZN in a few years.
SHLD price per share (without any splits) will be higher than AMZN's in just a few years.
