No. not HSOL, bankrupt STP is in some of the pilots, some went through Phoenix Solar Germany which uses Suntech; however with Suntech to survive neglecting R&D, their panels might not be as efficient as YGE. Suntech is sued left & right in US & European courts, since they could not pay their creditors; their assets seized; Arizona plant stop producing, How could Distribution offices make any sales, w/o any computer or fax machines, since assets were seized?
With all of Suntech fiasco, I believe these projects might be rebid, and YGE as the largest, and best of breed will have a very great chance to land some juicy contracts.
There are 6 wealthy GCC countries: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar (where 2018 FIFA soccer world cup will be held, & YGE has great connection with FIFA), Oman & Bahrain.
All have their own projects.
My husband worked about 18 years in Saudi, including contract works; if Yingli would like to use a consultant to land juicy contracts in that part of the world, he is available for a fee.
Blomberg report yesterday 9/10/2013.
Great many demand in near future, especially since Solar City is using Yingli panels in their installations.
This is about addiitional 21 GW/yr? Where wiill it come from?
May lift price up like mid July China 35GW by 2015 announcement?
LDK is in default, has a lousy earnings report today, yet its stock is down a lot less percentagewise than STP. Does it say something about credibility.
To hedge1fader: May 22 is for Q1 2013 earnings report, where is the 2012 & its Q4 report?????
Are agriculture subsidies larger than solar's? Seems agriculture subsidies has been there for a very long time.
