dbeg, Your formula works perfectly if a person is born into a good family situation, raised responsibly, becomes educated and has the fortune of good health, regardless of skin color.
Only then can they become citizens in good standing, free of being a burden on society, committing crime and relying on welfare benefits.
What to do with the people that fall through the cracks? Damn if I know. Gov. benefits are suppose to help the lowly and I hope these people can better themselves and many have through educational opportunities.
The poor will always be part of society and liberals and conservatives will battle it out through politics.
I have worked with a few of them in the past. They know how to work the system and that is the problem! It is not the color of ones skin. Reduce the fraud in the system!!!!!!!
Here is a plug for gun ownership. Thug shot dead by good Samaritan in grocery store parking lot. There shouldn't even be an investigation with this case.
The PEGS summit is the premier event for antibody and protein science and Dr. Pierce is the premier presenter. Up, up goes the share price.
Agreed. Most cops are good minded people who perform their jobs admirably under much stress. About 5%- 10% are bad apples and shouldn't be wearing a badge. Let the system now deal with the six officers and see if they should continue being cops.
I didn't walk in Gray's shoes, so, I will not judge him. Twenty five is way to young of an age to die.
whip, I do respect your informative postings on the CLDX board, but in this case when a suspect is placed into custody, it is the custodial officers duty to use care in dealing with the person under arrest. It clearly didn't happen with Gray.
Give it a few days. One of the cops out of the 6 will be exposed by the group and will be doing some serious prison time.
In the Michael Brown case the cop used justifiable force according to the law, the fat guy selling cigarettes in NYC- wrestled to the pavement was questionable, but this case just doesn't make sense. Freddie Gray deserves justice.
It will be interesting to hear how the six officer's statements change after getting Miranda Rights read to them. Gray's spinal cord was nearly severed. What? I suspect there will be a lot of finger pointing emerging soon.
I've got the time to wait it out! Yahoo.....
