ybor, just go man. You didn't lose much and you don't know anything about stocks. Your posts are a yoyo up and down.
Drop was absurd for a company that has a drug, ANY drug, still on in the clinic. Not to mention that Z944 is coming off positive P1 which showed it had analgesia.
I actually doubled down at 1.11 and brought my cost basis down. With any Z944 news I will recoup all of my losses from Z160. There was no reason for the capitulation. This company still has money, scientists, royalties, and partnerships. All of that equals getting your money back or possibly more if Z944 works. Either way, selling here is a mistake unless you already had huge gains elsewhere and needed to cut taxes. Otherwise you were foolish to sell and save 20-25%.
In addition to Z944 heading to PII, Exalgo royalties, cHTS partnership, and ion-channel patents, ZLCS will also have the rights to prednisporin.
Not saying this is the greatest company, but certainly they have assets to sell as well as partnership opportunities. The time has run out for this management team so they will either have to partner Z944 fast or sell the company. Either way the stock is worth significantly more than the over-reaction yesterday. I'll personally be waiting a few months for the dust to settle.
Yea I noticed that, and actually it is what sparked my post. If they release Huntington's first and it bombs I'm afraid of the stock tanking. It seems that HD is a long shot and that the AD trial is more setup for success.
I liked the criteria as well.....except you can pretty much throw it out the window. ZLCS was invited to this and they are a complete joke RE: these criteria.
Given that I was just slaughtered at ZLCS, I am looking for another promising company. I was lead to PRAN.
A couple concerns that that hopefully someone could help me with. From what I have read there have been many HD drugs that have worked wonders in mice and then completely failed in humans. In fact a total of 0 drugs have worked in humans after previously working in mice.
Why is this different? I bought into an idea at ZLCS and that turned out to be total bunk. Hopefully PRAN has more actual data besides mice models to back up its claims?
Can't imagine selling for a 70% loss. There is still the conference next week that could atleast bump the pps up a bit when they get eyes on z944.
I know today sucks, but you gotta look forwards not backwards.
IMO..The companies assets both tangible and potential are worth more than the current price. There is a conference next week where management will undoubtably need to promote Z944. Royalties and partnerships are still there. This was a massive event and unfortunate drug failure, but it is not the end of the company.
So unless you really believe the company is going bankrupt, then I don't see why anyone would want to realize a 70% loss. Their is still potential here with z944 and there there will certainly be some pops in the next few months that will recoup losses for those who want out. There certainly have been alot of buyers in this 1.34-35 range so maybe that is where the dust will settle.
I just lost (on paper) 34k, which was an admittedly larger portion of my account. Personally there is no way I am selling for a 75% loss when there are still possibilities to recoup some or all of those (paper) losses.
Not a loss until you sell. I don't see any point (unless for tax purposes) to sell for a 70% loss. The company still has Z944 and income coming in. Should atleast retrace 20% of this back when people stop freaking out. Now is not the time to sell. I'm just gonna put this one up on a shelf and check back later. No way I am realizing this big of a loss.
Thanks....WOW, very glad to know this guy is on the team. Huge resume/experience and a UofM grad as well. Jason N needs to do some actual research and realize we have an exceptionally "smart CNS guy" working directly on Z160.
