bshow, i wouldn't pay any attention to elain they are just here to to stir the pot up. Just put them on ignore for they carry at least 3 other names.
every time they talk about rising interest rates utilities get hit. It is where people go to hide out for a safe return and SP appreciation during low rates.
I just keep reinvesting the divie from D like people do here with LINN. There was a discussion that their was less electricity being created these days therefore causing higher prices.
It also helped that the talking heads were talking yesterday, that oil could get a short spike do to speculators and then pull back again.
I checked into AFC and even with a break it was going to be 550.00 a month for me , just for me. And 3k deductable and only 80/20 coverage. Right now through our original carrier it is 177.00 a month 3k deductable and full coverage after deductable is met though med cost.
It appears that blue cross are the only suppliers in our area. Not much of a choice.
Shame on hem for promoting alt energy. We should just stick with the norm. Hey if it wasn't for backing of oil companies we would still be living and heating by fire.
Any addition is wonderful gumby. As you and norris say alt energy doesn't add to the power grid. oh so wrong.
Seeing how you just created this ID on march 1st you obviously are the same persons as the names below. Nice try.
Alright enough of you. You can join the list of your other degenerate names, such as renaute, centauri and ebj. See you. You serve no purpose and have NO subsequent value.
Yes i am everyone on this board. I have all these Id's.
Big rise in electricity generation
Electricity generation in the US increased 11% to 86.1 million megawatt hours (or MWh) during the week ended February 20 compared to 77.6 million MWh for the week of February 13. Moreover, electricity generation was 17.5% higher than the 73.3 million MWh from the corresponding week in 2014.
The gain in electricity generation was driven by cooler weather across the US. We’ll discuss the divisional breakdown of this generation in the next part of this series.
Impact on utilities
The electricity generation report for the week of February 20 was positive for utilities and utility sector ETFs such as the Utilities Select Sector SPDR (XLU).
Duke Energy (DUK), NextEra Energy (NEE), Dominion Resources (D), and Southern (SO) are the top four holdings of the ETF—at 9.2%, 8.1%, 7.5%, and 7.4% of the portfolio, respectively. The ETF had gained 1.2% in the week ending February 20.
Yes they could never get anything correct. Just like norris, whom also agreed with everything they said and more. Norris said that sandforbrains was the best thing that happened here because of all his knowledge.
I liked it especially when norris posted all of his supposedly winners but LINN wasn't on that short list.
Keep telling yourself that. The big wells will continue to produce for many more months. You really don't understand the commodity. But. just keep playing those loosing calls here and on SDRL. My short on KRFT is doing very well. All one needs to do is see what you buy and go short.
