What's with this "scare" tactic? You must be short BIIB. ACTUALLY, there is NO THREAT of PML from Tecfidera! The "one" patient that developed PML had been on Tysabri beforehand. Get your facts straight and don't try to scare people. Jerk.
I've been taking Tecfidera for over a year now....and it is working wonderfully. PML is NOT a risk factor with Tecfidera. In fact, Tecfidera is based on a psoriasis drug that's been in use for over 30 years. The only side effects are the nausea, stomach problems and flushing that some people have for the first couple of weeks while getting used to the drug. There are ways to avoid those symptoms too, which I did. I've been relapse free with no new MS lesions for the past 14 months. My learned neurologists at NY Presbyterian in NYC have nothing but good things to say about Tecfidera.
As a long term investment, BIIB has some great products going forward and some interesting ons, like Lingo-1 in testing stage, I believe. Anyway, good luck to all, even though today was bumpy.
BIIB will be back up over 345 by next week. This is the part of the game where the price is once again taken down so that more can jump in. Classic manipulation by the hedgies.
BTW...I've been on Tecfidera for 13 months now. Not one relapse....I was having one every 3 mos. before) and I'm feeling perfectly healthy...no walking issues, no vision issues...nada.! The drug really works for Relapsing Remitting MS. Big hope for Lingo-1 to reverse it completely.
