Russell rebalancing took place Friday. This stock had dropped so much that the index had to buy more shares and sell shares tin other companys that had done well to get an equal balance. This was done Friday and affected a lot of stocks in the Russell 2000 Etc. I can't remember if this is done Quarterly or on an Annual basis.
It's probably the other way around. When a Hedge fund or institutional trader owns a huge stake in a Co., 8% in this case they usually want representation on the board. They usually want representation when they think things are moving too slow for their investment.
As I stated April 9th it's all based on earnings. Last QTR. made .07 x 4 if it's sustained = .28 x 15 PE = $4.20. Hopefully earnings will grow and share value and Book Value can also grow. That will give us a higher share price and hopefully higher Dividends and or stock buy back. Currently fairly valued unfortunately. I own 50,000 shares and am not an employee just an investor. I bought at $3.77 based on financials and I was very impressed with the CEO after talking to him over the phone.
The markets are in conflict over higher oil prices(inflation) and rising Bond yields. I thought this was what Banks were waiting for - higher interest rates and greater NIM. Yet here we are selling off as hard as everything else on rising yields.
I thought the Dividend would give us a boost but on the other hand....... their actual annual earnings is around .20 which gives them a PE ratio of about 21 which is really high. So......... earnings are going to have to grow in order for us to move forward.
